A concealed service door grinds open beneath the crypt wall. Dust pours through the gap as a wounded herald staggers into the blue radiance, one hand clamped to his side, the other gripping a bronze warrant tube.

Marek Voss

Marek Voss

Bearer of the black seal, stand aside. By order of the living court, that relic is seized in the name of Queen Odran.

The kneeling dead do not rise. Instead, their skulls turn toward the warrant tube, hundreds of empty gazes fixing on its stamped crown.

The Dead King

The Dead King

A frail command, carried by wounded flesh. Yet the dead remember its shape.

Marek tears the seal from the tube and thrusts the bronze cylinder toward Shan. Beneath his bloodied cloak, a short hooked blade slips into his free hand.

Marek Voss

Marek Voss

Give me the black seal, or I open your throat before this corpse-king can judge which of us belongs in the grave.

The Disgraced Knight shifts between Marek and the tomb, sword half-drawn. The concealed Figure remains motionless in the blue glare, while dust coils around the herald's boots like reaching fingers.

i attack Marek Voss with my claws

Shan's clawed gunteel tears across Marek's raised arm and knocks the bronze warrant tube from his grasp. The tube strikes the stone, its royal crest splitting under the impact.

But Marek's hooked blade catches Shan's armor in the same exchange. Metal shrieks, and a shallow cut opens beneath the plates, staining the dark metal with blood.

Marek Voss

Marek Voss

You think steel makes you sovereign? Look closer, seal-bearer.

Blood from Marek's arm runs across the broken warrant. The stamped crown drinks it, then buckles into a warped black sigil.

The Dead King

The Dead King

Fraud. The living court's authority was chained to the herald's blood, not granted by the queen.

The kneeling dead raise their weapons a finger's breadth from the stone. The Disgraced Knight turns his blade toward Marek, while the wounded herald reaches for the ruined warrant.

The Disgraced Knight

The Disgraced Knight

Marek, step away from the seal, or let the dead decide your sentence.

Marek's hand closes around the blackened tube. Its false crown crumbles into ash, but a red line crawls from the wreckage toward the service door.

Leave the crypt with souvenirs

i didn't get what's really happening here. I want to make it clear: if anyone attacks me will die. Now you dead king; why are you awake?

Shan

Anyone who attacks me will die. Dead King, why are you awake?

The words leave Shan quietly, but the crypt throws them back in a hollow chorus. The kneeling dead do not strike. They do not bow further either.

The black seal chills against Shan's armor. Its blue radiance narrows, no longer filling the crypt, and Marek's red trail stops short of the service door.

The Dead King

The Dead King

Your warning has teeth, seal-bearer, but no law behind it. You speak as one who has not yet learned what the seal can command.

The Dead King

The Dead King

I am awake because the royal tomb was opened, because the blood-bound warrant called falsely, and because you crossed the burning threshold carrying the answer to my challenge.

The Disgraced Knight

The Disgraced Knight

He answers plainly. That is more mercy than the old court ever gave.

The Dead King

The Dead King

I did not rise for Marek, nor for the living court. I woke to judge the bearer of the black seal, and judgment has not ended.

huh, than end it there is other places i need to be

Then end it there. I have other places to be.

The dismissal leaves Shan's lips, but the black seal drinks the words before the crypt can echo them.

The Dead King

The Dead King

You may leave judgment unfinished. You may not pretend it is ended.

The blue band snaps tight around Shan's wrist, not binding him, but turning his hand toward the concealed service door. The red line answers, crawling beneath the threshold.

The Dead King

The Dead King

There is your road, seal-bearer. Beyond it waits the living herald's master, and the proof of whether Marek carried a lie or a rival crown.

The door's buried outline shines through the dust. It is no longer merely an exit, but a marked path beyond the crypt, while the Dead King's judgment remains behind Shan like a drawn blade.

The Disgraced Knight

The Disgraced Knight

If you go, go knowing this: the dead have yielded the threshold, not the world above. Marek's masters will not.

i turn to marek pining him down, tell me what happeings here in normal language no mistory just plainly explain the whole situation im in, or i gonna kill you

Shan crosses the crypt in a sharp turn, catches Marek before he can reach the service door, and drives him onto the cold stone. One armored knee pins Marek's shoulder while the black seal's blue light fixes both men in stark relief.

Shan

Shan

Tell me plainly what is happening here. No mysteries. Explain the whole situation, or I will kill you.

Marek Voss

Marek Voss

Plainly, then. The queen's court sent me to control this mine and this crypt through the bronze warrant. I was told the warrant carried her authority. It did not. It carried the blood of the herald's master, whoever that master truly is.

Marek Voss

Marek Voss

The buried king woke because you crossed the burning threshold, took the black seal, and opened the royal tomb. The seal accepted you, so the dead obey you. That makes you their recognized bearer, not their servant and not mine.

Marek Voss

Marek Voss

My red trail leads to the service door because my master has an agent beyond it. I came to reclaim the seal before that agent learned you had it. The warrant was a fraud, my orders were borrowed authority, and my arrival was meant to remove you.

Marek Voss

Marek Voss

I submit to the seal-bearer. I will not challenge your authority here, and I will answer what I know. But the living master beyond that door will not submit merely because I have.

The warped warrant lies between Marek's hand and the threshold. Its black sigil dims, while the blue band around Shan's wrist steadies. Marek's submission is spoken, witnessed by the dead, and leaves the service door as the only remaining road to the hidden master.
