The angel descends into the lower archive, six wings filling the stairwell with white fire. Its gaze weighs Vesuvius, the embedded sword, and the stolen oath-fire.

the summoned angel
Vesuvius, exile of the First Judgment, your record is sealed beneath heaven’s authority. Release the blade and submit to final reckoning.
Behind the angel, countless stone tablets rise from the darkness. Gold script crawls across them, naming condemnations, witnesses, and the gods who gave them voice.

Seraphel
Do not mistake the record for mercy. It preserves every cause of your exile, but it also preserves the sentence.

the masked custodian
The blade has opened heaven’s buried testimony. If the record speaks, even Tyranis’s judgment may be forced to answer.

Ashkar
Let the winged judge come closer, exile. Its fire already bends around your claim.
The oath-fire pours from the cracked seam and circles the Black Obsidian Broadsword. Above, the angel raises one burning hand, while the tablets turn toward Vesuvius and awaken.
“i order my hell hound to attack and dismember both hands of seraphel”
FAILURE (Good Brawl, rolled -3)

Vesuvius
Hell hound, attack Seraphel. Tear away both hands.
The hell hound launches across the archive, jaws aglow. Seraphel’s golden ward folds around both hands as the beast strikes, turning the intended maiming into a violent recoil.

Ashkar
The archivist’s hands are bound beyond flesh. I cannot take what the judgment has made part of the record.
The ward releases a burst of radiance. The hell hound skids across the stone, and the oath-fire lashes through the tablets instead of Seraphel, exposing one final inscription.

Seraphel
Your command is recorded, exile. The First Judgment will name its authors, but it will not become your weapon.
Across the tablets, Tyranis’s seal breaks open. The names of the condemning gods blaze into view, while Seraphel’s golden hands dissolve into harmless script and vanish from the ward.

the masked custodian
The testimony is complete. Their sentence stands exposed, Vesuvius. The buried record belongs to no throne now, and the road to vengeance is yours to choose.

The broken seal fell silent. Around the black blade, the oath-fire dwindled to a steady ring of gold.

Seraphel
The record stands beyond Tyranis now. So does the truth of your exile.

Vesuvius
Then let heaven remember what it tried to bury.
The angel lowered their ward, and the awakened tablets settled into stillness. No throne answered. No sentence remained hidden.
Vesuvius stood beneath the freed testimony, no longer condemned by a story shaped only by the gods who cast him out. Seraphel departed without triumph, leaving the lower archive to its silence and its newly unbound record. The Black Obsidian Broadsword rested within the fading oath-fire, and the reckoning was complete.
