Astrea arrives within the mage’s tower as its wards flare blue-white. Their enormous Dwarven Centurion Master looms beside them while Imperials, Stormcloaks, and jarls crowd the chamber.

At the ritual dais stands Mannimarco, the King of Worms, a powerful Altmer necromancer in layered black-and-gold robes. His pale face remains calm beneath a tall silver crown.

Mannimarco

Mannimarco

The veil is broken. Molag Bal returns, and this world will remember who opened the gate.

The summoning circle splits the floor with violet fire. A vast shadow presses through the widening portal, and every wardstone bursts into sparks.

Seize the tower in the Emperor’s name! No one leaves until this breach is contained.

the Stormcloak jarl

the Stormcloak jarl

Your Emperor has no claim here. Soldiers, hold the northern stair and drive the necromancer from the stones!

The foundations shudder violently. Stone dust rains from the ceiling as the portal widens, its pressure dragging cloaks, banners, and loose books toward the darkness.

Astrea steps toward the fractured dais, their forest-camo dress stirring in the portal’s pull. Beneath their feet, the stone answers with a deep, sepulchral groan.

Ancient hands break through the floor. Draugr, ancient undead Nordic men with gaunt, corpse-gray faces and lanky builds, rise from shallow cracks in the flagstones, their armor furred with dust and their empty eyes lit by cold blue fire.

Astrea

Astrea

The dead are rising from the tower floor.

One by one, the undead pull themselves upright around the chamber. Their worn helms and engraved shields bear the faded marks of a forgotten Nordic host.

The enormous Dwarven Centurion Master plants itself beside Astrea, its bronze frame locking into a guarded stance as the draugr gather.

Mannimarco

Mannimarco

Even the buried remember the call. Let them witness the birth of a new age.

The draugr stand fully now, silent beneath the trembling wards. Violet fire continues to churn in the portal while the chamber fills with the dry scrape of ancient armor.

“then a undead enemy ysgramor(Ysgramor is a legendary ancient Atmoran hero, the first human historian, and the foundational figure of Nordic civilization in The Elder Scrolls lore. Revered by Nords as the "Harbinger of Us All," he led humanity's ascendancy in Skyrim.) rises”

The portal convulses, but no crowned Atmoran hero rises from its violet depths. The draugr already standing remain the only dead figures in the chamber.

Their weathered armor bears no singular royal mark, and none carries the unmistakable presence of Ysgramor, the Harbinger of Us All.

Astrea

Astrea

Ysgramor is not among them.

Mannimarco

Mannimarco

No legendary founder answers this summons. Only nameless remnants crawl from the old stones.

The draugr continue to encircle the fractured dais without speaking. Their blue-lit eyes fix on the living gathered beneath the failing wards.

Beyond them, the portal still churns and strains against the tower, but it offers no second revelation and no sign of the ancient hero.

“then a undead enemy ysgramor(Ysgramor is a legendary ancient Atmoran hero, the first human historian, and the foundational figure of Nordic civilization in The Elder Scrolls lore. Revered by Nords as the "Harbinger of Us All," he led humanity's ascendancy in Skyrim.) rises weaponless”

The portal’s violet depths churn without yielding another figure. No weaponless undead enemy takes shape, and no ancient champion steps across the broken threshold.

The draugr already gathered around the dais remain unchanged, their blue-lit eyes fixed upon the living. None bears Ysgramor’s face, arms, or legendary presence.

Mannimarco

Mannimarco

Then the answer is plain. Ysgramor does not rise, armed or unarmed, as an enemy within this tower.

The summoning circle contracts by a finger’s breadth, but the failing wards still hold the chamber in their trembling blue radiance.

the Imperial commander

the Imperial commander

Keep your ranks. The dead present are the only dead we face.

Mannimarco watches the empty portal in silence while the nameless draugr encircle the fractured dais. The legendary Atmoran remains absent from the threat before them.

The portal contracts another narrow span, and no weaponless figure rises from its violet depths. Ysgramor remains absent from the tower, neither enemy nor intervening presence.

Mannimarco

Mannimarco

No. The Harbinger does not emerge to choose a side, nor does he drive us from the gate.

The draugr encircling the dais do not move toward Astrea or Mannimarco. Their ancient formation holds, silent and unchanged beneath the failing wards.

the Imperial commander

the Imperial commander

Then mark it clearly. The dead before us are nameless remnants, not Ysgramor returned without arms.

the Stormcloak jarl

the Stormcloak jarl

The founder has not come to judge us, defend us, or claim the breach.

Mannimarco

Mannimarco

The portal answers with absence. Whatever waits beyond it, Ysgramor is not the hand that pushes us away.

Blue wardlight trembles across the fractured stones. The chamber gains no legendary champion and no neutral force; only the existing draugr and the unstable portal remain.

The portal contracts again, its violet depths revealing no weaponless undead hero. No figure bearing Ysgramor’s legendary presence rises from the breach.

Mannimarco remains at the fractured dais, untouched. Nothing drives the King of Worms away, and no dissolving apparition interrupts the failing wards.

Mannimarco

Mannimarco

The gate denies him entirely. Ysgramor does not rise, does not push me aside, and does not vanish before these witnesses.

The nameless draugr hold their silent ring. Their blue-lit eyes and dust-furred armor remain unchanged, offering no hidden founder among the ancient dead.

the Imperial commander

the Imperial commander

Record the absence. No undead Ysgramor has entered this tower, and no hand from the portal has displaced the necromancer.

the Stormcloak jarl

the Stormcloak jarl

Then the breach grants us no judgment from the Harbinger. He neither rises weaponless nor dissolves after driving Mannimarco away.

Only the existing draugr, the strained portal, and the failing blue wards remain. The chamber receives no new champion, intervention, or vanishing spirit.

“then Molag Balpushs Mannimarco away from the portal”

The violet breach convulses. A colossal horned shadow in blackened armor surges through its rim, seizes Mannimarco in a crushing wave of darkness, and hurls him across the fractured dais.

Mannimarco

Mannimarco

Molag Bal! You dare cast me from my own gate?

Mannimarco strikes the stones and skids to a halt, his crown askew. The portal folds inward behind him as the towering shadow fixes its burning gaze upon the chamber.

The necromancer is displaced! Hold the line, and do not approach the breach.

the Stormcloak jarl

The Daedric lord has rejected his summoner. By the old gods, the gate itself turns against him.

Instead of collapsing into the tower, the expelled magic races across the floor and settles around Astrea and their Dwarven Centurion Master as a calm, silver-blue ward.

The protection seals against the portal’s pressure, granting Astrea a stable refuge while the violet breach shrinks to a narrow, harmless seam.

“I hit mait mannimarco with my Scorpion Chain Dart(witch should be perception to hit range weapons/strength for damage”

SUCCESS (Superb Ranged Weapons, rolled +0)

Astrea whips the Scorpion Chain Dart from within the silver-blue ward. The hooked dart streaks across the fractured chamber toward Mannimarco.

Guided by their keen perception, the dart strikes the necromancer cleanly and bites through his layered black-and-gold robes as the chain snaps taut.

Mannimarco

Mannimarco

You presume to strike the King of Worms while a god watches?

The impact drives Mannimarco sideways across the stones. Dark magic bursts from the wound, but the silver-blue ward keeps the backlash from reaching Astrea.

A bold cast beneath Molag Bal's gaze. Let the worm learn that this chamber has more than one power in it.

The chain recoils into Astrea's guarded refuge. Mannimarco remains standing, wounded and furious, while the narrow violet seam flickers behind him.

SUCCESS (Great Strength, rolled +0)

The Dwarven Centurion Master lurches forward, bronze fingers locking around a cracked stone pillar. With grinding force, it tears the pillar from the fractured floor.

Mannimarco turns beneath the fading violet seam, but the towering construct swings the lifted stone around him. Ancient masonry folds inward through the necromancer's dark aura.

Mannimarco

Mannimarco

Release me, brass slave! I am the King of Worms!

The pillar settles upright around Mannimarco, its broken inner stones sealing him within a narrow stone prison. His crown and furious face remain visible through the jagged opening.

The effort cracks one of the Centurion Master's bronze shoulder plates, and the tower answers with a thunderous boom that sends dust across every banner.

“can I ride my dwarven construct”

YES (VeryLikely, rolled 45)

The Dwarven Centurion Master steadies itself beside the stone prison. Beneath its broad bronze shoulders, engraved footholds and a recessed saddle-like platform emerge from its armor.

Runic light travels along the construct's spine, then settles into a calm silver glow. Its damaged shoulder plate locks firmly back into place without breaking further.

The enormous automaton lowers one knee, presenting its armored back above the warded stones. A curved bronze hand opens beside the platform, steady and waiting.

That war-machine bears a rider? Then its strength may carry the elf beyond the collapsing tower.

Mannimarco

Mannimarco

You would hide behind a machine of dead Dwarven craft? Pathetic. Even iron servants can be unmade.

The construct's head turns toward Mannimarco, its eye-slits brightening. Its lowered posture remains unchanged, establishing a stable, rideable refuge beside the imprisoned necromancer.

“I use my Scorpion Chain Dart to attempt to kill mannimarco”

SUCCESS (Superb Ranged Weapons, rolled -2)

Astrea casts the Scorpion Chain Dart again. It coils through the wardlight, hooks around Mannimarco's chest, and tears him from the narrow stone prison.

The chain snaps taut. Mannimarco's crown falls as the hooked dart pierces the spellbound center of his robes, and his furious incantation dies unfinished.

Mannimarco

Mannimarco

No. I am the King of Worms. I cannot be ended by an elf's——

His form collapses into ash-dark robes and fading necromantic light. The King of Worms is dead, while the portal's final violet seam seals above him.

the Imperial commander

the Imperial commander

Mannimarco is slain! Hold the chamber, and witness what power has fallen here.

The Scorpion Chain Dart's links crack from the killing strain, scattering across the stones. The spent weapon is lost, but the silver-blue ward remains around Astrea and their mount.

The worm is gone. Now leave this tower before its wounded stones bury victor and vanquished alike.
