Erin arrives in the kitchen as the open front door lets warm summer air drift through the house. Grocery bags sit by the entryway, and James, Wendy, and Robin are gathered around them, ready to leave.

James
Hold on. The household shopping list is still on the counter, and I need it before we go.
James checks the bags again, his organized departure suddenly stalled. Wendy rocks back on one heel, while Robin folds her arms and studies the forgotten list from across the room.

Wendy
I can grab it. I’m already closest to the counter, unless Robin wants to make this into a whole dramatic expedition.

Robin
You are closest only because you stopped beside it. James should retrieve what James forgot.

James
Neither of you is helping. Erin, can you settle this before we lose our place in the afternoon traffic?
The three siblings turn toward Erin, leaving the forgotten list visibly within reach and the packed bags waiting by the open door.

Director's note
I then walk up to the counter and grab the shopping list off of it
“I can grab it for you guys. I'm pretty close to it.”
SUCCESS (Great Agility, rolled +1)

Erin Riggs
I can grab it for you guys. I'm pretty close to it.
Erin walks to the counter and reaches across the clear stretch of laminate. Their fingers close around the shopping list, lifting it neatly from beneath a salt shaker.

James
Thank you. That saves us from turning a two-minute errand into a family tribunal.

Wendy
A noble service, performed without witnesses or dramatic music. I’m almost disappointed.

Robin
The tribunal has been postponed, not defeated. We should still leave before the afternoon traffic thickens.
James accepts the list and folds it once against his palm. Wendy picks up the nearest grocery bag, while Robin moves toward the open door and holds it wider.

James
All right, everyone out. Erin, bring whatever you’re carrying, and we’ll get this done before dinner becomes a second expedition.
