After school, Nate threads through Neon City's packed streets, white hair flashing beneath holographic signs. Delivery drones hum overhead while commuters surge around his courier bag.
A young adult alien woman steps from the crowd, slight and sharp-featured, with violet skin, silver eyes, and a charcoal commuter coat hiding an unmistakable dynastic crest.
The Dynastic Heir
You are the courier. Take this. Do not open it, and do not let anyone scan it.
She presses a sealed black case into Nate's hands. Its surface is warm, and a muted pulse travels through the locking bands.
At the avenue's far end, armored agents force commuters aside, their visors broadcasting the heir's likeness. More agents emerge behind Nate, weapons lowered but ready.
The Dynastic Heir
They have closed both ends. If they take that case, the city learns exactly where I am.
Sirens rise over the traffic, turning every sign crimson. The heir watches Nate, the case between them, while the crowd compresses into a narrowing corridor.

“I nod and say “you better pay well for this” before jumping and using my boots to fly to a near by fire escape before jumping and flying to the next street over and sprinting away.”

Nate
You better pay well for this.
Nate nods, clamps the black case against his courier bag, and kicks on his flight boots. Blue-white thrusters flare beneath his soles.
He shoots upward through the compressed crowd, clearing the avenue and landing on a rusted fire escape above a shuttered noodle shop.
The Dynastic Heir
The eastern alley. Keep moving!
Armored agents point toward the fire escape, but Nate launches again before they can reach its ladder. The boots carry him across the narrow block.
He drops into the next street, absorbs the landing, and sprints beneath flickering transit rails. Sirens and shouted commands fade behind him.
The Dynastic Heir
He actually got away with it. Good. Now the case must reach the contact.
