They emerge inside an immense Stately Home. Dustless halls unfold around them, framed by ornate pillars and silent celestial carvings of crowned figures beneath unfamiliar stars.

Behind them, the portal contracts into a thin silver seam and seals without a sound. Beneath the estate, a distant pulse answers through the floor, slow and deliberate.

Raphael holds the rescued basket high with a proud grin. Within, the surviving provisions remain dry, their familiar scents strangely comforting beneath the silent celestial carvings.

They settle together beside an ornate pillar, sharing the basket's contents while blue-white light glimmers beyond the sealed portal. For a few moments, the strange pulse becomes background to quiet conversation and grateful eating.
