The highway darkens around RSV4. A heavy tactical transport truck rolls alongside in the adjacent lane, amber lights turning across his white fairings without a siren. Dave holds the line, with Violet close behind him.
Officer Tank Trekker
Motorcycle, this is Officer Tank Trekker. Keep your speed steady and listen carefully.
The voice comes through an external speaker, calm and unmistakably authoritative. The truck paces RSV4 with deliberate precision, leaving space instead of pressing him toward the barrier.
Officer Tank Trekker
I want to prevent a collision before other units join this chase. Nobody needs to make a bad situation worse.
Far ahead, brake lights gather into a red chain. Traffic compresses around an emergency response, narrowing the open roadway while the transport truck maintains its measured position beside RSV4.
Officer Tank Trekker
There is an incident ahead. Ease off when you can, and we will get everyone through without a pileup.
Behind them, the patrol officer and his blocked vehicle have vanished into the darkness. Only Tank Trekker's amber lights remain alongside, steady as a roadside signal.
✓ Quest Accepted
Get everyone through the emergency response without a collision
“I ease off the throttle and keep a steady line behind the traffic.”
SUCCESS (Superb Driving, rolled -1)
RSV4 rolls off the throttle, his engine note settling from a hard pursuit tone into a controlled hum. Dave follows the compressed traffic without abrupt movement, Violet steady behind him.
RSV4
The gap ahead is narrowing, but the line is holding.
Brake lights ripple across the lanes. RSV4 matches their pace cleanly, keeping centered behind the traffic as the heavy transport truck eases alongside without crowding him.
Officer Tank Trekker
That’s it. Smooth and steady. Leave yourself room, and we’ll get through this safely.
The traffic compresses around the distant emergency response, yet RSV4 remains balanced and deliberate. Dave keeps the motorcycle’s path true, while Violet stays tucked close against him.
Officer Tank Trekker
You’re clear to continue at this pace. I’ll hold position beside you until the lanes open up.
RSV4 settles fully into the moving line, carrying Dave and Violet onward beneath the alternating red and amber glow. The road ahead remains crowded, but their passage is controlled.
“I maintain this steady pace through the traffic”
SUCCESS (Superb Driving, rolled +0)
RSV4 holds the traffic's measured rhythm, his tires tracking the lane center as brake lights pulse ahead. Dave keeps him smooth, and Violet remains secure behind him.
The compressed line begins to loosen. RSV4 threads forward with clean spacing, passing the emergency response without sudden braking or crowding the vehicles around him.
Officer Tank Trekker
That’s excellent riding. Keep this pace, and let the highway open naturally.
The lanes widen into a steady stream again. RSV4 carries Dave and Violet beyond the densest traffic, his engine settling into an even, confident note.
Officer Tank Trekker
You’re through the worst of it. I’m dropping back now. Ride safe out there.
The tactical transport eases behind and then falls away, amber lights shrinking in the mirrors. Open highway extends west beneath the dark sky, and RSV4 continues onward.
