Ana reaches the clinic tower with the sealed delivery case still in hand, following the bar’s route through crowded transit corridors. The bartender, Mara, and Jace remain behind at the bar.
Transit gates pulse around them, spilling commuters beneath rain-streaked ads. The clinic’s receiving bay opens ahead, all white panels, scanning arches, and hovering security hardware.
An intake officer, a middle-aged woman with dark skin, a close-cropped silver haircut, and a slim blue utility coat, steps from the kiosk. A luminous barcode glows across one cheek.
The Intake Officer
Delivery case, please. Hold it inside the yellow scan field and keep your hands visible.
The scanner sweeps the case, then flickers over Ana’s neon badge. A municipal person-of-interest marker blooms beside their identity record, highlighted amber in the intake officer’s display.
The Intake Officer
This contents manifest is valid, but your civic flag requires an additional authorization before I can accept the handoff.
Security Drone
Authorization incomplete. Confirm delivery clearance or remain stationary for verification.

Deliver the case to the clinic tower
“Sure do what you need to do”
SUCCESS (Legendary Conversation, rolled -3)
Ana steps into the yellow scan field and holds the sealed case steady, palms open beneath the drone’s hard white light. The verification begins.
Blue bands sweep over their badge, eyes, and fingerprints. The municipal flag flares brighter, recording Ana’s cooperation while the clinic system cross-checks the intervention report.
The Intake Officer
Stay still. This will authorize the handoff, but your civic marker is being attached to the delivery record.
The scan stings across Ana’s fingertips as the system takes a biometric verification sample. A small red deduction appears beside the bar’s delivery account for processing.
Security Drone
Clearance confirmed. Recipient transfer authorized.
The intake officer accepts the case. Its seal changes from violet to green, and the clinic’s receiving system marks the route completed despite the added civic scrutiny.
The Intake Officer
You cooperated cleanly. Tell the bartender the clinic received everything. That flag may follow you, but it did not stop you today.

Deliver the case to the clinic tower
Director's note
I head back to the bar mission complete
Ana leaves the clinic tower with empty hands and follows the rain-bright route west. Transit crowds part around their broad silhouette as advertisements ripple across wet pavement.
The bar’s service entrance opens beneath violet signage. Inside, music and conversation swell around the returning delivery runner, while the neon badge records the completed route.
The Bartender
Back already? That was quick. Tell me the handoff went clean.
The bartender’s cybernetic hand reaches for the delivery case, then pauses when she sees it is gone. Her eyes flick briefly to the route status on Ana’s badge.
Mara
You made it through the clinic gates on your first run. That counts as a win around here.
Jace
And you’re still in one piece. The city’s already giving you a reputation, whether you asked for one or not.
The Bartender
Good work, big one. Food’s waiting upstairs, and your room is still yours. After you eat, we’ll log the payment and talk about tomorrow.
