Scene2
Escape from the HarborDeck of a wooden cog in a harbor
Escape from the Harbor

The cog cuts through the dark water, putting distance between the desperate mob and the hull. Haldan, an old sea-dog with a scarred jaw, secures a loose rope as the distant shouts of the harbor dwindle into the rhythmic slapping of waves against timber.

That tax document... it isn't just about grain. The Black Guild is squeezing the life out of the common folk to fund their own private wars. If they control the mainland, they surely have their sights on the treasure island too.

Keep the sails tight, Haldan. We have the map and the open sea, but the Guild won't stop at the shoreline. We need to reach the southern archipelagos before their scouts pick up our wake.
