Post Quest: Spread the Word, Earn Pages
A new Tavern quest: post your favorite Tavern heroes and tales on Reddit or another public site. Every new player who joins through your post and finishes a first scene earns you Pages.
You have asked us for more ways to earn Pages. Creators have asked for something too: more players to recruit their heroes and read their tales. We heard both, and today we are opening a new quest in the Tavern that answers them together: Post Quest.
The idea is simple. Post a hero or a tale from the Tavern on a public site like Reddit, using a link we make for you. When a new player joins LiveTale through your post and finishes their first scene, you earn Pages, and so does the creator of the hero or tale you posted.

Each new player who joins through your post and finishes their first scene earns 2 Pages:
- Your own hero or tale: both Pages are yours.
- Someone else's hero or tale: you get 1 Page, and the creator gets 1 Page.
The new player can play any hero they like. Your post is how they find LiveTale; their first finished scene, with any hero, is what counts.
Where to start
Look for the Post Quest button on any Tavern hero page or shared tale. It works on your own heroes and tales too, so you can share the stories you are proudest of and keep both Pages.

Three easy steps to spread the word

- Copy your link. Every post gets its own link, so you can see which post brings players in.
- Post it your way. Share it on a public site that allows links, in a place where the hero or tale fits: a subreddit about roleplay or your favorite genre, a fan group, your own feed. Write whatever suits the place. Starter text is there if it helps, and you can edit it freely. Mention in any words that you get a small reward when people join through your link; many sites require it.
- Paste your post's link and select Submit for review. You can add a comment if there is anything we should know.
Reddit, Facebook, X (Twitter) and Tumblr are pre-approved. Other public sites are welcome too: we review a new site once, and then it is approved for everyone. Private chats and invite-only servers, such as Discord, don't qualify, because we need to be able to visit the post.
We visit every post before it starts earning. A post is approved when:
- it is public, and the link is valid;
- if the site is not pre-approved, it should be approved;
- it fits the place it was posted, and isn't spam;
Players who join while your post is waiting for review still count. Their Pages arrive as soon as the post is approved. Each post can earn up to 10 Pages in any 24 hours, and there is no limit on how many posts you can share. A new player needs to finish their first scene within 14 days of joining.
Watch your Page earnings

The Tavern has a new Post Quest tab next to Heroes and Tales. It shows how your posts are doing:
- Visits: people who opened your link.
- Joined: new players who signed up through it.
- Played a scene: new players who finished their first scene.
- Pages earned: what your posts have earned, with the last 24 hours below.
Each post has its own row with its site, date and status: waiting for review, approved, or declined with the reason. You see counts only, never who joined. We also email you when a post is approved or declined, and when you earn your first Pages.
Creators control who can earn with their work

If you created the hero or tale, you will find a checkbox on its page: Anyone can earn Pages by posting it. It is on by default, so every player who posts your work brings you 1 Page for each new player they bring in. You can see how many active posts there are, yours and other players'.
Untick it, and only your own posts earn Pages. Players who already joined through other people's posts still count. Your hero or tale stays public either way, so people can still link to it; the checkbox only decides who earns.
Take the quest
Pick a hero or a tale you love, find the Post Quest button, and share it where it belongs. Every new adventurer you bring to the Tavern earns Pages for you and for the creator who made it.
