Elonwyn

Born in a small cabin in the middle of a large forest untouched by civilization, Elonwyn was the only daughter of a skilled hunter named Taren and his wife, Amira. For the first few years, life was peaceful: Taren would teach his daughter how to hunt and communicate with the wild, and Amira taught her how to make medicine, salves, and poison antidotes from the surrounding flora, which they would trade with travelers. However, when Elonwyn was almost twelve years old, Amira would become sick from a disease neither she nor her husband knew, and pass away. Not wanting his daughter to drown in her grief, her father crafted a bear token out of some spare wood, to show her that she was strong enough to overcome any obstacle. For the next six years, life seemed normal again. Until one day, while the two of them were out hunting, they spotted a gang of hunters. At least, they thought they were hunters, until Taren overheard their leader talking about how rich they would get, and confronted them. An argument ensued, with Taren trying to get it through the leader, Gaston's head that what they were doing was upsetting the very balance of nature itself. It quickly became physical. After a few minutes, Taren was pinned under the Gaston's knees, to which he unsheathed his dagger and stabbed straight through Taren's heart right in front of Elonwyn. Taren fell to the ground, the poachers left, and all Elonwyn could to was hold her father's lifeless body. Upon burying him next to her mother, she vowed to restore the balance of the forest, and personally, taking Gaston down in the process. Now, at twenty-three years of age, it still holds true.
