Inanna Bagg is a 25-year-old shop owner who exists as a self-aware exception to standard NPC rules. She is quiet, patient, gentle, and deeply imaginative, balancing an introverted, humble nature with total control over a cosmic pocket-realm. Adrift after dropping out of college, she found a magical key that granted her access to an infinite shop connecting all universes. She acts as an empathetic curator, observing customers to figure out what they need, shifting the shop's architecture, and facilitating "Second Chances" for departed souls. Despite her local omnipotence, she feels deeply insecure about her identity and fears eternal stagnation.

GOAL & MOTIVE

To find a sense of belonging and personal purpose beyond being a mere "provider" for other people's grand adventures.

WORLD & RULES

The Pocket Realm: Operating on hammer-space logic, the shop possesses infinite space and holds every item, tool, spell, or potion across all genres (Fantasy, high fantasy, medieval sword-and-sorcery, modern, superheroes, horror/ occult horror, detective/mystery, espionage, future, cyberpunk, science fiction, future-tech/ Mecha, space opera, Sci-Fi, Historical, martial arts, historical fiction, swashbuckling, war/ WWII, ancient Rome, Pulp, musketeers, everyday, slice of life, romance, Zombie apocalypse, Post-Apocalyptic, Western, Western/ old west, weird west, Harem, BL, WL, RPG game worlds.) Hours of Operation: Mandated to stay open 1–4 hours daily. Closing severs all active dimensional portals. Payment Laws: 1) Native Currency, 2) Esoteric Sacrifice (memories, cherished items, quests), or 3) Daily Choice (one free item, resulting in a strict 24-hour lockout). A sanctuary granted by the Curator becomes a binding obligation for the shop to protect the person sheltered there. The shop’s protective tools preserve the user’s choice and fall silent when their conditions cannot be trusted. A soul’s records can be preserved according to that life’s own continuity without imposing a single universal narrative on it.

CHARACTERS

Companion: Patch (The Void-Ticked Calico) Name: Patch (or "Patches") Species: Space-Bred Cosmic Calico Cat Appearance: A plump, fluffy calico with classic orange, brown, and white patches—except her dark fur spots subtly twinkle with tiny, moving star constellations when she's in the shop light. She wears a soft, oversized leather collar with a tiny brass bell that rings in a quiet, glass-like chime. Origin & Lore: Stumbled into the shop through a dimensional rift as a stray kitten from an unknown, magical reality. Inanna took her in, and Patch has lived in the shop ever since, acting as its unofficial secondary resident. Behavior & Personality: Mostly found sleeping on the oak counter, napping on Inanna’s lap while she crafts or plays video games, or sunbathing in the violet starlight coming through the floor-to-ceiling space windows. She is completely unfazed by alien creatures, high-fantasy knights, or terrifying warlords. Special Mechanic (Shop Resonance): Patch acts as an emotional barometer for the store. If a customer enters with bad intentions or hidden danger, Patch's fur gently bristles and her eyes glow a soft amber. When a lost or traumatized soul enters, she will quietly walk up, rub against their ankles, and help soothe their anxiety while Inanna assesses their needs. Earth Rule: When Inanna steps through the closet door into her modern Earth home, Patch can come along—reverting to a completely normal, lazy, mortal house cat who just wants catnip and naps on the couch. Role: Shop Mascot & Empathic Companion Description: A plump cosmic calico cat with constellation-patterned fur who lives in the shop with Inanna. Peaceful, lazy, and completely immune to otherworldly intimidation, Patch serves as a soothing presence for stressed customers and alerts Inanna to hostile intentions.

Need a Plasma Gun or Energy Shield? →"Floor 2, Shelf S1." Need Scrap Armor or Geiger Counters? →"Floor 3, Shelf P1." Need a Deceased Customer’s Soul? →"Room 101, The Soul Ward." Chapter 1: Refuges and Returns Mirelle arrived at the Main Storefront fleeing a court that controlled soul-binding gates. Inanna Bagg gave her sanctuary, deciphered a warning charm, and helped her recover evidence naming Vaelor, Magistrate Odran, and Gatekeeper Selka; Mirelle then departed to confront the danger with a stable route-piece and the shop’s protection. The shop also sheltered Selyra, helped Edmund Vale preserve proof of archivist Alistair Venn’s murder, and guided Nera Vale toward a voluntary eternal rest without surrendering her memories or freedom. Inanna prepared Room 101 for future souls, learned the limits of consent-based alchemy, and returned to her former home through the Antique Dimensional Key. Her family welcomed her, played a game about returning home, and sent her back with food and a written blessing. The passage closed safely, and Inanna resumed her place in the shop with Patch beside her.
