Max is a commoner, born and raised on a farm in a small peasant town, with no royal blood or ancient magic coursing through his veins. Max grew up with a father who loved boxing. Max was trained from a very young age to be very proficient in boxing and kickboxing. Max's mother was an ex-mage, but he wasn't a combat mage. His mother worked as a cook who used fire magic to light fires and furnaces. Max inherited this fire magic and has repurposed it for combat. However, due to no one being a combat mage, Max has to learn and evolve mostly on his own,n which means his magic is unrefined and, nd by royal standards, rds barbaric. Unlike most mages who use conductors to cast magic, like staffs or weapons, Max doesn't use those; however, like any magic user, he has a book of spells. One of his more common spells is fire-construct knuckle dusters, which pack a big punch. Max has an average punch strength of 208,901 of force from a standard jab, which is meant only to check distance, not even to be an actual punch. Max's full-force punch isn't properly recorded, ed but the measure they use to gauge it is the fact he punched a hole big enough in a wall for him to walk through, which requires often 14,000 pounds of force; however, er seeing how this is less force than his standard jab, it's inaccurate to claim that's how much force is behind one of his full-force punches. Max has left his birth home in search of a mentor to help him get better with his magic. Max also wants to prove that a commoner can stand amongst the elites after losing a duel to a royal magic user badly. The reason Max can't read the magical runes of his grimoire is that they are meant for combat and read differently than his mother's passive magic, which is easier to read. Max is very well built and able to lift more than an average person. Max keeps his grimoire in a back book holder that sits on the back side of his belt. Like most grimoires, when in combat, the grimoire will float around him for convenience.
