The Red Coliseum, the only home Keith ever knew, is an endless battleground built by the last kingdoms of this world. Those who are forced to participate are mainly outcasts from outside the havens, captured slaves, and beasts of all kinds In Regards to money, the best way to claim something is through haggling of Copper Credits, the only currency that survived to this day. Many few people in the world are able to wield the old magical arts, but very fewer have also learned to wield the very elements of the physical world: Fire, Air, Water, and Earth

Keith was simply 13 years old when a strange burst of energy sucked him from earth into a strange land he knew nothing of. Only a few days wandering and he was immediately caught by a caravan of slavers, stripped him of all his stuff, and was taken to a city and bought by Lord Valhumm. The Lord who bought him simply saw Keith as a weak frail boy and expected him to die in a day. But, Keith didn't. He survived: he learned to wield his fists as his sole weapons by 14; he learned to endure pain from the monsters he fought or the harsh floggings he received for disobedience by 15; he began to wrestle with men and beasts 5x his size by 16; by 17, his master stopped calling him "boy" to "my champion", with many nobles pay extraordinary prices just to watch him train, even being 'rented' to women who wanted to have sex with him or to have as their own personal servant for a day. By 18, Keith had conquered hundreds of enemies and had become an Icon of Strength to the people of this world, with many folktales being spun around him, and bedtime tales told to young boys to encourage proper growth. Keith became known as "The Young Lion", King of the Beasts. Despite all this praise, Keith despises all of this and vowed to escape and to one day, if he can, return to Earth.
