Born in a small settlement called Briar Glen, situated along an old trade route. His family wasn't particularly wealthy. His father former soldier. His mother was a village midwife who understood basic medicine and herbal remedies. Cam grew up watching people struggle with injuries and illnesses that could have been treated if they had access to proper care. He learned early that being strong meant very little if you couldn't protect or help someone who needed you. His mother introduced him to the basics of medicine. His first exposure to magic came through an itinerant healer who visited the settlement. He discovered that he possessed a natural aptitude for arcane manipulation. However, he didn't have the financial resources to attend an established magical academy. He learned through books, old manuscripts, experimentation, and occasional mentorship. His education was imperfect. But his curiosity was relentless. When Cam was younger, a neighboring settlement experienced an outbreak of an unknown illness. The available healers were overwhelmed, and those who could afford treatment received priority. Cam tried to help. He the local midwife, and eventually attempted to use restoration magic on someone who was critically ill. He couldn't save everyone. This experience left him with a fundamental belief: Power should mean something beyond what it allows you to take. He began to see magic as a responsibility. He had someone he loved But their lives were moving in different directions. The relationship ended badly enough that Cam became more guarded. He still believes in love. He simply doesn't trust it as easily. This gives you room for romance later without making romance his primary objective. He wants to understand who he is outside of his responsibilities. He wants to save people, but he hasn't figured out how to save himself from the weight of that responsibility. A Man Without a Destination

GOAL & MOTIVE

Kam has always been alone in his life and he's been searching for a purpose outside of himself, whether that's helping people with their health, helping them, you know, achieve their dreams. And maybe that could give Kam, you know, some sort of self-satisfaction for himself. He has gone through some trials. His life hasn't been easy. He's had to struggle for, he had to work and struggle for most of the things that he's, he's obtained. And maybe he just wants to find his place in this world as a young adult. And if that means helping people through their darkest days, maybe that could give him the strength to struggle for his brighter days and hopefully he gets to motivate people to be better, and have a legacy of being remembered for great works big and small. Motto "Strength means very little if you have nothing worth protecting. Knowledge means very little if you refuse to share it. And a life means very little if it leaves nothing behind."

The five disciplines: Evocation - Manipulation of elemental and destructive energy Restoration - Healing, regeneration, and biological manipulation Alteration - Manipulation of physical properties and matter Divination - Perception, prediction, and interpretation of hidden information Conjuration - Summoning, spatial manipulation, and dimensional interaction The cost of magic Magic requires three things: 1. HISTORY & EVENTS

World Name: Eryndor Eryndor is a world that has existed for millions of years. Kingdoms rise and fall, languages disappear, gods are forgotten, and entire races vanish from history. The people living in the current age believe their civilization is among the oldest to have existed. They're wrong.Deep within mountains are structures larger than entire kingdoms. Sometimes farmers discover strange metallic objects buried beneath their fields. Sometimes miners disappear after breaking into chambers that haven't seen sunlight in thousands of years. Most people consider these discoveries remnants of ancient gods. Scholars disagree about whether those gods ever existed. The truth is considerably stranger. The First Age — The Age Before Memory An ancient period predating all known civilizations and recorded history. During this age, an extraordinarily advanced civilization known as The Architects inhabited Eryndor. The Architects mastered both arcane magic and physical technology, combining the two into a sophisticated system known as The Convergence. Their achievements included: - Artificial organs and advanced biological regeneration. - Machines capable of manipulating gravity and energy. - Self-sustaining cities and enormous architectural structures. - Advanced transportation and communication systems. - Preservation of consciousness and memories. - Magical engineering capable of altering physical matter. he Second Age — The Age of Ash Following the disappearance of the Architects, Eryndor experienced an extended period of devastation and societal collapse. The ancient systems that once sustained civilization began failing. Magical energies became unpredictable, entire regions became uninhabitable, and strange creatures emerged from previously unexplored territories. Many surviving populations were forced to abandon their settlements and seek refuge elsewhere. Much of the knowledge from the First Age was lost, distorted, or deliberately concealed. The Age of Ash eventually gave way to a new era of civilization, although its consequences continue to shape the world. he Third Age — The Age of Crowns (Current Era) The present age of Eryndor is characterized by established kingdoms, expanding civilizations, political rivalries, religious institutions, and competing interests. Humans, elves, dwarves, the Veyr, Beast man and Oldblood inhabit the world, each possessing their own histories, traditions, and political structures. Magic has become an established part of society, although its accessibility and application vary considerably between regions and social classes. Despite the apparent progress of civilization, Eryndor remains a dangerous and unpredictable place. War, disease, poverty, corruption, and exploitation remain widespread. Chapter 1: The Vault’s Costly Choice Kam Rook and the hedge wizard contained the river’s danger beneath the half-repaired bridge and recovered the sword taken there by Edran Marr. The sword revealed the forgotten guardian Serath and accepted Kam as a willing successor after he severed the river’s thread without breaking the guardian bond. Beneath the basin, Kam passed the proving hall’s judgment, followed the guardians’ preserved memories into the lower vault, and awakened Ilyra, who sealed the way behind him. Faced with vessels offering release, concealment, or living custody, Kam bound the vault’s truths to his own life. The seals closed safely, leaving him responsible for carrying the memories without exposing them to unready hands.
