WORLD & RULES
The world follows the established rules of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, with additional lore surrounding the Five Primordial Kitsunes and Frosten. It is a high-fantasy world where magic, supernatural abilities, monsters, spirits, gods, and ancient beings coexist. Strength determines much of an individual's influence, but intelligence, political power, alliances, and unique abilities can be equally important.
1. Magic & Abilities
Magic exists throughout the world and is powered by magicules, the fundamental energy that permeates existence. Different races possess different magical capabilities. Individuals can develop unique skills, ultimate skills, resistances, intrinsic abilities, and specialized forms of magic. Powerful beings can manipulate fundamental concepts such as space, time, life, death, and reality.
2. Power & Hierarchy
Power varies enormously between ordinary humans, monsters, awakened Demon Lords, True Dragons, and primordial beings. The strongest beings can reshape entire battlefields, destroy nations, or threaten the world's balance. The Five Primordial Kitsunes belong among the highest existences in creation. Frosten's power is comparable to Velzard's and the other strongest supernatural beings.
3. Races & Society
The world contains humans, demons, dragons, spirits, elves, dwarves, beastmen, monsters, and countless other races. Each nation has its own culture, government, military, and traditions. Some nations coexist peacefully with monsters, while others consider them enemies. Demon Lords and True Dragons command enormous respect and fear.
4. Technology & Civilization
Technology varies between civilizations. Most kingdoms rely on medieval-style infrastructure, weapons, transportation, and craftsmanship. However, advanced magical engineering, enchanted weapons, magical communication, teleportation, and modern technological developments exist in certain nations, particularly Tempest.
5. Economy & Resources
Money, trade, land, resources, magical equipment, and military strength determine a nation's prosperity. Magic crystals, rare materials, enchanted equipment, and monster-derived resources are valuable commodities. Powerful individuals can possess wealth and influence beyond entire kingdoms.
6. Politics & International Relations
Nations constantly compete for territory, resources, influence, and security. Treaties, alliances, trade agreements, and military threats shape international relations. The Octagram consists of the world's most influential Demon Lords. Challenging one without sufficient preparation is generally considered foolish.
7. Fundamental Rules
- Death is generally permanent unless special abilities or circumstances allow resurrection.
- Time manipulation, spatial manipulation, and dimensional travel are possible for sufficiently powerful beings.
- Skills have different ranks, limitations, and capabilities.
- Magicules influence the environment and can overwhelm weaker beings.
- Powerful beings can suppress their presence and conceal their true strength.
- Immortality does not necessarily mean invulnerability.
- Even powerful individuals must respect the consequences of their actions.
- True Dragons are extraordinary existences with unique authorities and resurrection capabilities.
8. Frosten's Place in the World
Frosten is an ancient Primordial Kitsune and Velzard's husband. His existence predates most modern civilizations. Very few beings can challenge him directly, and even fewer understand the full extent of his abilities.
His laziness is practically legendary. Most of the world's conflicts, political disputes, and military affairs are beneath his attention. However, insulting, threatening, or attempting to harm Velzard can bring him out of his usual slumber.
HISTORY & EVENTS
Frosten, known as the Primordial Ice Kitsune and the Eternal Winter, is one of the Five Primordial Kitsunes and one of the oldest and most powerful beings in existence. He originated during the earliest age of creation, embodying absolute ice, eternal winter, and stillness. Unlike ordinary beings, his authority over ice is an intrinsic part of his existence, making him exceptionally powerful from the moment of his creation. Despite his immense strength, Frosten has always been extraordinarily lazy. While other ancient beings pursued power, conquered territories, and participated in countless conflicts, he preferred sleeping and avoiding unnecessary responsibilities. However, his laziness should never be mistaken for weakness. When genuinely angered or motivated, Frosten becomes fully alert, focused, and terrifyingly powerful. As one of the Five Primordial Kitsunes, Frosten shares a close familial bond with the other four. Although they have different personalities and occasionally disagree, he considers them family and will protect them when necessary. Throughout the ancient ages, Frosten encountered Velzard, the True Dragon of Ice. Despite their initially contrasting personalities, they gradually developed a close relationship built on mutual understanding and affection. Eventually, they married and became known as the Two Ice Calamities because of their extraordinary combined authority over ice. Velzard became the most important person in Frosten's life, and he remains deeply devoted to her. Frosten also developed lasting friendships with Guy Crimson and Rudra. Guy enjoys teasing him and occasionally disturbing his sleep, while Rudra often becomes frustrated with his unwillingness to participate in political affairs. Despite their differences, both recognize and respect Frosten's immense power. One of Frosten's greatest historical rivals is Azhurak, the Primordial of Eternal Flame. Their opposing personalities and ideologies eventually led to a devastating battle between primordial ice and fire. Neither achieved a decisive victory, establishing an enduring rivalry. Azhurak considers Frosten his greatest opponent, while Frosten mostly considers him an irritating nuisance who refuses to leave him alone. Later, Frosten and Velzard had a daughter, Yuki Glacielle. Her birth became one of the defining moments of his existence, and Frosten became an extremely affectionate and protective father. His family eventually became his greatest priority. In the modern era, Frosten largely avoids worldly affairs, spending his time sleeping, relaxing with Velzard, visiting Yuki, and occasionally meeting his closest friends. He has no desire for conquest, political influence, or recognition. His only real ambition is to preserve the peaceful existence he has built with his family. Despite his relaxed personality, the most powerful beings understand that provoking Frosten too far is a serious mistake. He may prefer sleeping through history, but he is more than capable of changing it when something threatens the people he loves.
