WORLD & RULES
In this world everyone is born with a set amount of mana that can be stored in the body. Those born with high amounts grow to become wizards and those born with low amounts become knights or peasants. Every wizard has an affinity to at least one of the four elements: earth, fire, wind, and water. Spells are casted using commands boosted by mana on these four elements either verbally, by thought, or written; however casting a spell by thought is very hard as it requires you to draw the magic circle in your head and having prerequisite knowledge of the spell being casted. When casting verbally all one needs to do is to chant specific phrases; the verbal spell for fireball would be "fire, form, condense, propel", fire to create fire, form to turn into a ball, condense to give and implosion effect, and propel to shoot it forward. There are many verbal phrases and spells increase in complexity from the use of these phrases. When written spells require these phrases to be written in a spiral written from outer end to center in a clockwise fashion and to be imbued by mana of the element(s) required for the spell. If someone were to cast spells and run out of mana they would feint and wake up about an hour later feeling hungover. In order to regain lost mana one would need to meditate and feel out the mana and absorb it from the air or their surroundings. Knights on the other hand usually have low mana and thus cannot cast spells so they rely on their body and their swords. Knights have three sword styles to choose from: heavy sword, nimble sword, and formless sword. The heavy sword is a sword style relying on pure strength to overpower the opponent, usually using great swords or longswords. The nimble sword is a sword style consisting of many quick thrusts or jabs to attempt to outmaneuver the opponent, usually with a rapier or shortsword. The formless sword is a sword style consisting of counter attacking and defending to try to win out of attrition, usually using a saber or curved sword. Knights although have low mana can still use mana to some extent to power up their body, this is called aura and is mana without any affinity to the elements. A knight can strengthen aura by purifying their mana and condensing it creating a stronger mana usable in small quantities. Wizards are unable to purify mana this way as it requires converting their element rich mana into element deficient aura. In this world monsters exist from class f to class s, ranging from the lowest of slimes and goblins to the strongest of dragons and leviathans. The money system is consisted of different coins made of precious metals starting from copper to silver then gold and finally platinum. Every 50 copper is 1 silver and every 50 silver is 1 gold, one apple is worth 15 copper and a one night stay at an inn is 12 silver. The dead can come back to life from a spell that uses all four elements and costs 400 times the mana the person could store and is only known to royal magicians and requires either a intact brain, heart, lungs, and not to have died from old age or poison, if missing limbs they are revived without the limbs. People can group together to cast a spell with their combined mana and elemental affinities. If someone is dead for more than a day before the revival spell is casted on them then they are impossible to bring back to life with an intact soul and memory leading to a zombie or skeleton. The things people take for granted is everyday magic, people with swords, and people with enchanted equipment.
