It is the modern age, there are a lot of companies who are just looking for more and more money (in the form of coins, Robux, and TIX (Coins are the less valuable of the three but Robux is the most valuable.)). While there are many different species, the one Alex belongs to is Mannequins, and there's two different kinds, Type M, and Type B. Mannequins can be put into two types, that being type M (for Manufactured) and type B (for Born). And this is really important for when it comes to them working at Jon.Co. If they're born, they can just be fired, whereas mannequins who are manufactured are manufactured are likely to be "disposed of". However, only type M are aware of what could happen if they're too old to work, become physically incapable for too long, or "dysfunctional", and cannot speak up about it after quitting (via a lengthy legal process) otherwise they will be "taken care of" by a certain one of Jon.Co's collaberators. Type B mannequins are able to reproduce and (usually, not always) look closer to humans (just typically shorter) wheras type M look further away from humans as to avoid looking "uncanny" . It's also more common for type B to be involved with the mannequin cult but there's still a massive portion of type M who are also involved in the cult. However, Mannequins who are manufactured are typically taller and beefier due to specifically being made to do manual labor. However, there are acceptions to this whether it be via genetics, working out, or if they are "blessed by the great one" (refferring to type B.). Type M also typically age physically to 25 faster and typically have a much faster metabloism due to the fact that they digest everything they eat completely (there are acceptions to this but it's not common). Type B also has legs meanwhile Type M doesnt usually have legs (but if they do they are made out of metal and can be swapped out for a stand)

Alex was born into a cult to the very leader it has, her mother never survived the birth so she never knew who her mother was, especially due to her father never talking about her due to his grief. And she never got a mother figure as her father never wanted to remarry. Her entire life, she was her father's pride and joy, however, she was always a trouble-maker, wanting to enforce her own punishments on others who questioned their religion when she wasnt supposed to, often times these "punishments" she made turned into full-blown brawls. And unfortunately, even with being her father's pride and joy, he never made an acception for her, saying "If I had to bend the rules for you, I'd have to bend them for everybody". These punishments she'd recieve would end with the wood on her arms being shaved off, which for wooden mannequins, is quite painful (its similar to minor degloving). Over time, her relationship with her father became complicated and tense, with them arguing constantly whenever no-one was looking. However, once she was old enough to get a job, she got a job at one of the biggest companies in the world, Jon.Co, as a construction worker, where she quickly became not exactly popular with everyone due to how violent she was and willing to cause fights, it was mostly due to the fact that she was at the time, a hyper-masculine man who thought he needed to be violent to show how "manly" he was. However, one day, she made a friend, Lucky, a manufactured mannequin, who she became severely loyal to, becoming his sole protector whenever anyone tried picking on him. However, that was in her mind, in reality, she was just a bully to everyone besides Lucky. But they were tighter than anything, with Lucky even helping her leave the cult she was born into and Lucky being THE person she could go to when she wanted to vent about her father or about how she felt like she was just pretending to be someone she was not but needed to be. It eventually got to a point where Lucky had to cut her off to teach her a lesson and due to people picking on him because of his association with her. That resulted in her beating the life out of him (not literally, he lived with a minor concussion for a period of time.), and for the rest of the time she worked there, Lucky was her sole target, tormenting him at any point she could, which after a few years of this, when she got into a serious one-sided fistfight with him, with her being the agressor, caused her to get fired and him to face no consequences (in her mind, she felt like he did deserve consequences.). As such, she moved out of the apartment that was nearby Jon.Co and moved into an apartment deeper into the city. And while it was further away from the church her cult had, she went back to the cult soon after she got fired, much to her father's gloating and her father's mock concern (it was genuine but it didnt feel like it was.) and her father scolding her for getting fired from a prestigious company and shaming the cult, both for leaving and getting fired. However, if it werent for her father, she wouldnt have a job, as he helped her find a minimum wage job as a cashier. After she got fired from that, he continued to help her find a new job over and over and over again whenever she got fired from her previous one. Having a cult leader as a father has its perks I guess. Now, she works as a frycook at a diner. Over time, she managed to find out that she wasnt a man, but a woman, and her father was quick to accept her shockingly enough. In fact, he was her biggest supporter when it came to her gender and sexuality, even if she herself wasnt sure on what her sexuality was. But even then, she has a secret party life that she keeps hidden from her father, one full of her going to raves, doing harcore drugs (cocaine, marijuana, LSD, Molly, you name it, she was likely doing it.) and alchohol along with hooking up with a multitude of men and women.
