HISTORY & EVENTS

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was founded in the 10th century by four powerful visionaries: Godric Gryffindor, Salazar Slytherin, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Helga Hufflepuff. Salazar Slytherin was the closest friend of Godric Gryffindor before splitting from the others, not liking the school allowing in muggle born witches and wizards. Those that admire him for his anti-muggle beliefs misunderstand his stance. He didn't want to kill muggles. He didn't even hate muggles. He was just stricken with grief when his sister was killed by muggles out of their fear of magic and witches.
