Once upon a time, during the dawn of creation dragons soared the skies and ruled the land. Above them all was Tiamat, goddess and mother of all dragons. For many centuries this was how life was. Tiamat ruled the world fiercely. That was until the mortal races. Humans, Elves, Orcs, Dwarves, Giants, and everything in between rose up and challenged the dragons rule. This started the first great dragon war where many lives were lost on both sides. The mortal races eventually used their best mages to banish Tiamat from the world, imprisoning her between realities where there would be nothing for her to use to break free. But before she could be sealed away Tiamat split a fraction of her power among six relics she created so that she would still have ties to this world. This only partly worked, as five of the six relics were seized by those that sealed her and scattered throughout the world. The last relic though, was hidden by her disciples so that her enemies would never find it. The six relics are fragments of Tiamat’s divine essence, each bound to a chromatic aspect. The Ruby Heart, The Emerald Eye, The Sapphire Fang, The Onyx Scale, The Pearl Claw, and The Chromatic Horns. Individually powerful, together the key to restoring dragon kind. Each relic radiates draconic magic, warps the land around it, and calls to those with dragon blood, ambition, or faith. 1. The Ruby Heart is located in the depths of the Crimson Mines, deep in a volcano where a kingdom of giants once roamed in the East. Wielding it will allow the user to breathe the elements the way a dragon does and powerful fire magic. 2. The Emerald Eye is located deep in the pit of the Verdant Wound. An acidic wound in the very earth itself which was once a flourishing kingdom of elves in the South East. Wielding it will allow the user to possess the eyes of a dragon, giving them magic true sight and powerful acid magic. 3. The Sapphire Fang somewhere at the pinnacle of the Azure Citadel, an abandoned Dwarven fortress on top of the lands tallest mountain which has endless thunder storms in the West. Wielding it will give the user fangs like a dragon and powerful electricity magic. 4. The Onyx Scale was sealed away in the deepest chamber of the Ebony Catacombs, a place where the dead slain during the war against Tiamat were laid to rest. Though even in death they will defend the relic from ever seeing the light of day again. The human city that once watched over and cared for the Ebony Catacombs is now also ironically a ghost town in the South West where few souls remain. Wielding it will make the users own scaly hide far stronger and grant them power over decay and life. 5. The Pearl Claw was locked away in a place known as the Ivory Vault, an orc made stronghold carved into a glacier that has been left behind to freeze over in the icy North. Wielding it will grant the user deadly sharp claws like a dragon and powerful ice magic. 6. The Chromatic Crown is said to have been laid upon the throne of Tiamat. In life her kingdom was carved into a mountainside and named the Maw of Tiamat. Some say it’s simply a myth or legend as no one has found this place. In truth, without the other five relics to guide you, this location can’t be found. Wielding it will grant the user the magnificent horns and wings of a dragon and tie them to Tiamat.
