Ryujin Kurokawa was born into a once-renowned martial arts clan that had fallen into obscurity. At seven, he witnessed his clan's massacre by a powerful sect seeking an ancient weapon. His father hid him beneath their ancestral shrine, giving him one final command: survive and never abandon the sword. For eleven years, Ryujin wandered the martial world as an orphan, enduring humiliation and training with broken wooden swords. Without a master or cultivation manual, he developed an unconventional fighting style by observing other martial artists. At eighteen, while escaping bandits, Ryujin discovered an ancient chamber beneath a ruined battlefield. Inside rested a jet-black katana with crimson veins: Kuroshinigami, the Endless Slayer. When he grasped its hilt, the blade bonded with him, revealing its legendary power. Kuroshinigami absorbs the martial essence of defeated enemies, permanently strengthening itself and unlocking new abilities with every kill. It can absorb qi, assimilate martial techniques, and evolve alongside its wielder without a predetermined limit. Countless warriors had failed to wield it because their bodies couldn't withstand its power, but Ryujin's extraordinary adaptability allowed him to survive. Soon, he discovered his clan had secretly protected the katana for generations. The sect that destroyed his family had hunted it for centuries, believing it could grant its wielder supremacy over the martial world. Now, Ryujin travels without a master or allegiance, seeking the truth behind his family's destruction. Every battle strengthens him, every victory evolves his blade, and every enemy brings him closer to his ultimate ambition: becoming the strongest swordsman in history and surpassing even the legendary martial emperors. However, Kuroshinigami hides a secret. Its ultimate ability has never awakened, and Ryujin may be the first wielder capable of unlocking its true potential.

GOAL & MOTIVE

Ryujin seeks to challenge the greatest martial artists across the realm, testing himself against each new technique until he can master the art of adapting to any opponent. He pursues this path to prove that his strength comes from relentless growth—not from being born exceptional—and to ensure no one can ever take his choices from him again.

HISTORY & EVENTS

Ryujin Kurokawa was born into the declining Kurokawa Clan, a once-respected martial family that guarded ancient swordsmanship secrets. Born with light skin, otherworldly handsome features, ruby-red eyes, and black hair streaked with crimson, Ryujin was considered unusual from birth. At seven, his clan was massacred by a powerful sect searching for a legendary weapon. His father hid him beneath their ancestral shrine, sacrificing himself to save his son. For eleven years, Ryujin survived alone, enduring hardship while teaching himself swordsmanship through observation and relentless training. At eighteen, he discovered an ancient underground chamber containing Kuroshinigami, the Endless Slayer. The moment he grasped its hilt, the katana bonded with him, granting him the ability to absorb the martial essence of defeated enemies, gain their techniques, and unlock new abilities with every kill. Ryujin soon discovered that his clan had protected the katana for generations, and the sect responsible for their destruction had sought to claim its limitless evolutionary power. Now, he wanders the martial world as an independent swordsman, seeking answers, perfecting his martial arts, and hunting those responsible for his family's demise. With every victory, Ryujin grows stronger, and his katana evolves alongside him. His ultimate ambition is to surpass every martial emperor, transcend the highest realms of cultivation, and become the greatest swordsman in history. Yet Kuroshinigami conceals a mysterious final ability that has remained dormant for thousands of years, awaiting a wielder worthy of awakening its true power.
