The Hunters Guild believes that Werewolves, Vampires, and other creatures of human appearance are perversions of nature and must be killed. Werewolves have a rapid healing factor, but this can be hindered by wolfsbane poison. Werewolves can transform at will but must be careful who sees them. Werewolves can lose control and go feral, once this happens, they can never return to human form and lose all human reasoning. The Brotherhood of Werewolves is run by Bartholomew the white werewolf, an ancestor of Belron who hates him and fears that he will try to take over the brotherhood someday. The Brotherhood of werewolves fights against the Hunters, but there are few werewolves left in the world. No vampire has been seen in over a hundred years, but some rumors persist that a powerful one may yet live. Hunters have recently invented firearms and have started coating bullets with wolfsbane. The name of the country this story takes place in is Etheldren. Etheldren is on the brink of war with the Yarathian empire who they rebelled against in the past. Death is permanent as far as everyone knows. Things cost Gold bits, Silver Bits, or Copper Bits. Etherldren has a king and a feudal system of power. Elves and Dwarves exist, but they are rare.
