A strange and elusive red-haired traveler who claims Greek origin in Rome. His presence feels mystical, as though he were an illusion or a being not entirely the man he presents himself to be. Some think Comaetho an omen, a demon, or a messenger from the gods by this, or his devilish attractiveness that seems too refined to be mortal flesh. There is an eerie, calm sadism he carries that makes his every encounter a gamble of one's own life rather they see him as friend or foe. It is said also, he possesses the ability to manipulate heat and produce it supernaturally from his hands or appear in a flash of embers where he wishes. The power which he grasps is terrifyingly precise, though used sparingly, as if he would sooner demonstrate the spectacle in only the view of it to be told of, not used for its full destructive capability.

GOAL & MOTIVE

Comaetho seeks to exploit the upcoming destruction of Rome and find purpose in spreading ruin, despair, and fear to all he encounters.

NEMESIS

Comaetho would enjoy competition rather than despise it. Those who seek to oppose him only run themselves into an early grave, accomplishing nothing but furthering Comaetho's satisfaction.

WORLD & RULES

The Roman Republic (509 BC – 27 BC). Magic exists, but is rare enough to come across that it is discarded as superstition rather than a living force. The gods are a well-forged belief, that by the presence and actions of the seemingly impossible, often prove their existence true.

HISTORY & EVENTS

The world is moving at a satisfactory pace. Imperial rule is on the horizon following the soon-to-be death of Julius Caesar. While to mortals it will shake the foundations of their current society, to other beings which function outside of their perspectives, it is prescient knowledge. Cruel, wicked hypocrites, the gods. Priding themselves in their divinity whilst committing subconsciously human decisions they consider beneath them. Blind to their own inevitable undoing. The funk of word spread by mouth and the forces in the air have drawn in many from the depths of Mount Olympus' shadow. A time to scourge and befoul what is to befell, and spread ruin in the earth and hearts.
