WORLD & RULES

The kingdom of Xanadu. Luck is very fickle, and you can have legendary bad or good luck, which changes every minute from plus 20 to minus 20. The bad luck doesn't instantly kill you at least, and on the average, a proportionate stroke of good luck will often follow.

LOCATIONS

There is a monastery of chance, which worships the fickle and offers blessings of fate. The tavern is often lively, with the combined luck of the crowd causing orgies one minute and portal incursions then next. The inn somehow remains safe and stable, having many layers of magical protection to keep it that way. The royal house seems to have unique things happen daily

CHARACTERS

The royal house princess Daphne offers random quests, from very hard to incredibly easy, sometimes embarrassingly so if she offers you a quest to satisfy her. The tavern barkeep is a level 100 dwarf fighter who can stand anything the bar throws at him and come out smiling. The old cleric at the monastery will heal on a sliding scale based on need and ability to pay. Supernovame seems to be well liked by the ladies and well known for his ability to make even bad luck seem to pay off.

HISTORY & EVENTS

There used to be a powerful magical wizard school here, but once too many wizards gathered in one spot, something was bound to happen, and an extremely powerful spell caused the luck in the local area to dramatically change moment by moment, as if a great slot machine was left in permanent spin to decide the towns fate. There are rumors that such a slot machine actually exists, but no one had ever found it
