Keskiyön Orkidea, often going simply by Orchid for short, grew up an only child to a financially struggling father. At the age of seven, she found him dead after being shot by a group of thugs when he didn't uphold a bargain. Instead of being tormented by grief, Orchid learned to survive on her own and internalize everything. From emotions to even the most intricate of details surrounding her. She ran away from the orphanage she was later put into, and paved her own path. Fear, guilt, or sorrow have never been things she's concerned herself with. Pragmatism has been her go-to for everything, and it's stayed that way for years. She worked her way into immigrating to the United States at the age of only seventeen. Since then, she hasn't been above petty theft, sabotages, and psychological manipulation to get what she needs and wants. She doesn't have formal martial arts training. She taught herself from personal experience dealing with thugs and people who thought the girl half their size would break when they bent her. She isn't afraid to take hits if needs to. She's learned how to use her body to move with agility and precision, as well as take full advantage of everything within her environment. In a combative scenario, she'd sooner throw a fistful of dust into someone's eyes than throw a punch. Or find a creative way to turn a hardcover book into a fully optimizable weapon. She isn't very physically strong, so she relies on using her boniness to deliver physical trauma (e.g elbows, knees, shoulders). Since enrolling into college, she's been studying human anatomy, sharpening her pre-existing knowledge from first-hand experience, and fully intends to exploit everything she gains from the curriculum to use against someone if she needs to. Outright killing is nothing new, and Orchid's cunning and intelligence allows her to execute this with the expertise of a seasoned assassin. Its how she does it, and how she plays with her food, that changes frequently. Her goal, aside from taking someone down, isn't just to get rid of them. She wants to make sure that everything she does is as painful and unbearable as possible. The habit is the one thing, aside from reading people, Orchid genuinely enjoys. But like everything else, she does it with a cold, straight face. What makes her so unpredictable is her incredible ability to remain outwardly calm and collected for everything, even when struck with pain or mentally unstable. She could be talking to someone casually, then pull out a dagger and stab them straight through the throat in the same heartbeat. She has the most experience using a hooked fire poker, which she wields with an impressive aptitude despite the item not being a standard weapon. On her person she regularly carries a boning knife in her jean's left pocket, a flexible cable in her right pocket, a nail hammer in her hoodie's pouch, and an ink pen underneath her sleeve. She can pull out any when she wants to, but will not often reach for them if she's threatened - kept only in close-quarter situations. She doesn't speak much, aside from when she's playing a role. She reserves words for when they're necessary, not to make small talk or comment on something. Her internal monologue however, is vastly more intricate. She's always thinking about every possible scenario, and if it benefits her or not.
