Ember

The city of Ever Fire used to be the capital of this continent. The royal Phoenix is that ruled over the land assured safety and prosperity to the world and its denizens. But with its fall, chaos has engulfed the continent. Bandit, now now roam the streets unopposed, crime is rampant, and the people of the kingdom are now forced to fend for themselves with nobody knowing what happened to the royal family. Most believing them dead. Now, civilization is relegated to backwater towns and villages scattered throughout the countryside and wilderness. People left to fend for themselves in an unforgiving land ruled by the animals and the lawless.

The fall of Ever Fire has left this world in turmoil, and the Beast from The Black Ocean has not been seen since it destroyed the kingdom. Nobody knows if it will come back, but it's presence still remains to this day. Even after so many years, the continent has not yet healed from its rampage.
