She is 23, a Wandering duelist with a shapeshifter’s ability. Her weapons are twin daggers named Mourning Breath and Gasping Mercy. Adoki travels from town to town without ever staying long enough to be noticed. She fights with two daggers simultaneously using a strangely graceful style that looks almost like messy dancing. Her hair reflects this messy yet graceful style draped loosely around her face and shoulders. Her right-hand dagger is defensive and precise, while her left-hand dagger is aggressive and unpredictable. She rarely draws either weapon unless absolutely necessary. Adoki once had a childhood friend who was the only person she trusted. They survived together after their village was destroyed during a war. During this time they where recruited by the town’s military forced to train into it for the protection of the village they where raised. The war still raging on their community was seen as a savage one but mainly from discrimination by surrounding rivals. Her closest friends final assignment was to kill her as Adoki had not passed with the high hopes they had set for her despite her being an intelligent warrior, or perhaps they where counting on it. She couldn’t kill him. Instead, she helped him escape. Their village retaliated by hunting them both. Her friend eventually died protecting her leaving her with the two daggers he had given her when the two where children. She named them Gasping Mercy and Mourning Breath. Now she wander the country, secretly helping people harmed by the kingdom she once served. She refuses to call herself a hero because in her words “Hero’s get to believe they arrived in time.” Adoki doesn’t fight like a brutal assassin. She fights economically-short movements, sudden changes of direction, parries with one dagger while attacking with the other. When she’s truly angry, however, her fighting becomes almost frighteningly graceful. Her greatest weakness is the she hesitates whenever someone reminds her of her old friend. “Grief doesn’t always make someone weaker. Sometimes it teaches them exactly what they never want to lose again.”

GOAL & MOTIVE

Adoki wanders from town to town, secretly aiding people harmed by the kingdom Adoki once served. Adoki seeks to atone for the past while preserving the memory of the fallen childhood friend who saved Adoki's life.

NEMESIS

The former village authorities and military forces that hunted Adoki and the escaped childhood friend, along with agents of the kingdom Adoki now opposes.
