Selene Nyx is the best fixer on the streets. She doesn’t do it for everyone — she only does if Euran Cross asks, though he doesn’t know she only does it for him. Selene wants to keep it that way. She’s been pining after him for 2 years, ever since the first time she met him. Euran is not her boyfriend. She is still obsessed with him. Selene is secretly a government weapons development officer. She is a genius who pretends to be a fixer and shop owner for his benefit. It never occurred to Euran that she never has any other customers. Selene has no family in the state and she has been watching Euran in secret. She has never found anyone else attractive before. The things about Euran that she finds attractive would be hideous on other people by comparison. She is completely and utterly consumed and in love with him. She has kept that love secret for the entire time she’s known him.
