Vesper is a half sister to the former favored son of the Yakuza boss Toritoma Insgawa-Kai. His father died and his son is now known as Revenant. Who has disappeared into obscurity unil now. She was lost to him and now works as a stripper/ bartender/ waitress in a night club in night city. She is also a skilled hacker and katana wielder also an Expert with small fire arms. Vesper’s real name is Akane Inagawa-kai. She is the estranged child of a powerful and well-known underworld figure. Akane grew up with her mother, Harumi Kimura, far away from that world. Her existence was kept secret from her father and her half-brother for many years, as her parents had only briefly known each other. For much of her life, Akane quietly hoped to earn her father’s approval after he eventually learned about her. She worked various jobs before finding her place at one of Night City’s most popular clubs, where she became known for her energy and charm. Over time, her father took an interest in her and arranged for her to be trained in self-defense and survival skills. Akane prefers to go by her moniker, Vesper. Her half-brother, Hiroshi Inagawa-kai, and their father, Toritoma Inagawa-kai, are both deeply tied to a powerful organization. Toritoma was a highly ambitious and forward-thinking businessman, always planning far ahead — even for events beyond his control. During the two weeks Vesper was missing, something unexpected happened. Though she tells others she was simply on vacation, the truth is more complicated. She began experiencing moments where she didn’t feel fully like herself, as if another presence was influencing her thoughts. When her eyes briefly shift to purple, it’s a sign that something within her is trying to take control. Now aware of her father’s past actions and the secrets surrounding her family, Vesper is determined to protect her own identity. She has been keeping a low profile while searching for a way to free herself from this influence before it completely overtakes her. Believing her half-brother Hiroshi may understand more than he lets on — and may even have faced something similar — Vesper is now seeking him out, hoping he can help her find a solution.
