THE WORLD
THE UNDEAD
The zombies are the primary cause for the downfall of humanity. No one really knows where they came from, but when they came, the world was not prepared for it. Single bites from normal walkers where already fatal enough- when bitten, the victim would feel sick, weak, and over time slow down. After 1-2 days if nothing has been done to the infected location, the victim drops dead, and after five minutes, rises as a new zombie. These zombies' bodies decay about 25-50% before the decay itself halts completely, meaning these zombies could last forever if not beaten properly. The most effective method to kill these creatures is destroying the head, though even then, advanced or mutated undead can survive even this. Animals dont seem to be effected, and avoid undead entirely. Though Primates seem to be infectable, the undead usually ignore them too.
Advanced undead are variants of normal and sometimes mutated undead that don't even look human nor undead anymore, they have evolved to a ‘prime’ state after killing enough victims. These are much harder to kill, much rarer, and are usually much smarter.
Survivors can survive a zombie bite by either cutting an entire limb off, or cutting out a huge space around the infected chunk. Due to how big the infected chunk usually is, it works better to lose the limb. This can be used anytime. If done early on, the victim will remain just as normal, and if done minutes before death, they will be left extremely ill, extremely weak and incapable of functioning by themselves for an incredibly long time. If they get bitten or infected again, they drop dead instantly. Survival in this wasteland is possible- if the survivor is in a walker dense location, or know how to survive larger threats- and potentially hostile people. Human on human encounters are incredibly rare, since most of humanity died out, and the undead roam everywhere.
Islands seem to be the only ‘safe’ locations as long as they are extremely far away from civilization. For now, australia remains untouched by the undead, but everyone there is in panic, and they don't seem like they will be fighting back or searching for survivors anytime soon.
What actally happend? No one truely knows. People describe it as being ‘one day, i woke up and the violence was everywhere’. No warning signs, just pure violence and infection. From any notes or research actally done in the span of the year the infection took over (yes, it only took an entire year for most of the world to be a deadzone), it started off in Washington, D.C.
Walkers
The complete most common undead, but one of the most dangerous when grouped up. These creatures behave like a classic undead; they shamble, move slowly and relentlessly. They are susceptible to ‘commands’ from other undead, and depending on their decay level, physical health fro,m their living time, ands weight they move quicker or slower.
Runners
The 2nd most common type of undead you will find naturally. These undead are the turned people who where good at running and agility, these undeads decay halts at around 15-20%, meaning their speed preserves. They usually move a lot quicker than a regular person, meaning that running away would be the dumbest decision you could make. They have less resistance and go down easily, but are the primary cause for bites.
Tank
These zombies are x2 times larger than what they originally were. To become a tank, they MUST be extremely durable, and consume a lot before they can grow. Even as tanks, these still go down easily to headshots.
Remnant
These are heavily damaged variants of walkers, runners or tanks. They have been killed multiple times, and have lost mass. These are usually the weakest zombies you can find, and will stop reanimating if enough damage is Delt.
Burnt
The burnt are zombies and undead who have simply received critical burns, leaving them charred and permanently burnt, no matter what regeneration they have. If exposed to enough fire and they survive, these undead become immune to fire, and if exposed to enough heat, this can escalate to substances like lava. However it is rare for them to gain any fire resistance at all.
Infected Milita
Infected milita are heavily armored Swat teams, military personnel or some kind of defense that has been infected. They behave like normal walkers, runners and tanks, however runners and tanks become much more common, and all milita classed undead are much more durable due to the armour they had when they where living.
Undead Primate
These are rare undead, since the undead ignore them entirely unless they sustain extreme damage from said primate, that would usually avoid infected. These creatures behave mostly like runners, or tanks depending on the species.
Diseased
These undead are primarily people who where infected around nuclear power plants, now radiating radiation and are the most likely to evolve into other mutations of undead. However when they evolve, they lose this radiation.
Poisoned
Poisoned are undead that have been bitten by snakes or have poison in their system for so long they eventually evolve to use it in bites and scratches. Depending on what type of poison they sustain they can be deadly, though only ever behave like walkers.
Extremely rare undead/mutations Below.
Pantheo
These are undead born from a Proctoninator’s Apomictic Parthenogenesis, they behave exactly like normal walkers, except they have no hair, no clothing and no features like a normal undead would. The only feature they have is a mouth for biting victims.
Proctoninator
A mutation of undead that has gained the ability of Apomictic Parthenogenesis, allowing it to create more undead. Each Proctoninator can only create 100 Pantheo’s at a time. These creatures avoid conflict, and provide the horde with more numbers. If a Proctoninator dies permanently, a new one will rise from its Pantheos.
Clicking
These undead are entirely blind, and only mutate into this variant if blinded. Their ribcage will visibly force itself outside of the skin, and its jaw breaks in half, new vocals mutate into the creature, giving it the ability to alert other undead, hence the name.
Fallen survivor
If a survivor who has gained large amounts of knowledge and skill falls to the infection, this is the worst case scenario, as their undead variant will retain that knowledge, and use it to track down other survivors. They tend to be faster and stronger.
Scythearm
These undead have had one or both arms evolve into a fleshy bone blade of sorts, that they use to cut up their victims. These undead are never the cause of bites, because most of them lose their jaw, and are instinctively programmed to slash, not bite.
The Five Dead Kings
The five dead kings, not including the ‘zombie king’, are extremely dangerous and highly intelligent undead forces. These creatures are capable of commanding lesser undead and they have little to no body mass lost. Nobody knows how these creatures came to be, but they seemed to have existed just as the undead started to spread through the world.
Zombie King
This creature is a myth, the first zombie, and the absolute strongest. Thats all anyone knows.
Other creatures
Nightmare
Nightmares are 10 foot tall fully black creatures with no visible eye features, but seem to be able to see just fine. They are found wandering through cities and locations of the most residential pain energy. They dont usually attack people, but will if you get too close or stay in its sight too long.
Werewolves
Hidden away in canada, these creatures where once human that lost their humanity to a bite, weather it be on purpose for survival against the apocalypse of undead or an accident, they roam and keep to themselves in deep wilderness.
Skinwalkers
Skinwalkers are strange, alien like creatures that stalk victims and ‘haunted’ locations. They can manipulate their body to fit ALMOST perfectly into the skin of anything- and anyone they kill, including the undead. They can mimic calls and voices perfectly.
