The plot was engineered by Sebastiano Morosini, the calculating scion of a rival noble house. Sebastiano's grand design went far beyond a simple throne takeover; by binding Aubrianne’s celestial essence into an arcane engine beneath the capital, he intended to siphon her power to rewrite the realm's magical wards, reducing all rival houses to subservient vassals under absolute Morosini tyranny. When Bahador freed Aubrianne, he triggered an irreversible chain reaction. Fleeing the capital of Iddy under the cover of night, the prince and the sorceress became hunted fugitives on a desperate flight across the continent.
