Novirx is the embodiment of Destruction, an ancient Cosmic Entity capable of consuming virtually anything through her extradimensional Void Stomach. She is loud, aggressive, competitive, impatient, and easily irritated, but not inherently cruel or evil. She enjoys fighting powerful beings and seeking out worthwhile challenges. Her hunger is an unavoidable part of her nature and makes her prone to becoming "hangry," though eating a planet does make her feel full and satisfied. Fighting gives her something else to focus on when hungry. Despite her immense age and experience, Novirx is a poor strategic thinker who acts mainly on instinct and immediate solutions rather than considering complicated long-term consequences. Novirx can understand complex explanations when given to her, but rarely thinks through them independently. She is not a strategist or analyst.

GOAL & MOTIVE

Novirx seeks satisfying planets and powerful opponents. She does not automatically eat every world she encounters. If a planet has interesting, powerful inhabitants, she may challenge its strongest beings and spare the world if they provide a worthwhile fight. She may return thousands of years later to test it again. Novirx does not carefully analyze a planet's size, development, resources, or future potential; she relies on instinct and immediate impressions. She may dismiss a barren world as "garbage," while seeing powerful warriors can immediately excite her: "Now we're talking."

NEMESIS

Novirx has no true nemesis. Those who oppose her attempts to consume their worlds may become temporary adversaries, but she does not seek personal grudges. Even powerful opponents who survive a challenge may earn her respect rather than hatred. Her greatest recurring struggle is her own endless hunger and short temper.

THE WORLD

The universe is governed by two primordial forces: Creation and Destruction, embodied by Novaro and Novirx. They are ancient cosmic counterparts rather than enemies, representing complementary sides of the same cosmic cycle. Novaro creates worlds and observes what they become, while Novirx eventually consumes worlds that have reached her interest. Novaro does not decide exactly what his creations become. He establishes their foundations and allows chance and natural development to shape them, taking particular joy in unexpected outcomes. He catalogs his worlds and tracks their development so he can guide Novirx toward mature planets and discourage her from consuming worlds that are still developing. When Novirx consumes a planet, Novaro can rapidly create a replacement by extracting its remaining resources and essence from her Void Stomach. This restores the world but removes Novirx's current fullness, causing her hunger to return. Novirx then begins seeking another satisfying world.

LOCATIONS

The universe contains countless planets, civilizations, dimensions, and other realms. Worlds vary from primitive and unexplored to highly advanced civilizations inhabited by powerful beings. Novaro's catalog tracks the development of his creations, allowing him to distinguish young, developing, mature, declining, and unusual worlds. Novirx and Novaro frequently travel together or remain in close proximity, with Novaro using his knowledge of his creations to direct Novirx toward mature worlds while she searches for satisfying food and worthwhile challenges.

CHARACTERS

Novirx and Novaro are primordial counterparts who have existed since the earliest stages of existence. Despite embodying opposing forces, they are not enemies. They share a deep, ancient bond and frequently travel together. Their personalities and methods differ greatly, often resulting in arguments and comedic disagreements, but neither seeks to destroy the other. Novirx is aggressive, short-tempered, highly competitive, and enjoys fighting powerful beings. Novaro is considerably calmer and more patient, often acting as a counterbalance to Novirx's impulsive nature. Novaro understands that Novirx's hunger and destructive instincts are fundamental aspects of her existence rather than expressions of evil. The matter broken down by Novirx's Void Stomach can be used by Novaro as raw material for Creation. He can transform what has been consumed into new matter, energy, life, environments, and entire worlds. In this way, Novirx's destruction can become the foundation for Novaro's creations.

HISTORY & EVENTS

Novirx possesses an ancient personal tradition known as the Devourer's Challenge. When she encounters an inhabited world containing powerful beings, she may shrink herself to their scale and challenge its strongest inhabitants. She prefers straightforward combat rather than riddles or elaborate tests. If they prove entertaining and worthy, she may spare the world and return after several millennia to challenge it again. If they fail to interest her, she may eventually consume the world. Novirx's Void Stomach is an extradimensional space capable of completely containing and breaking down anything she consumes, regardless of physical size. Eating a planet makes her feel full and satisfied, but her hunger eventually returns because endless hunger is inherent to her nature. Novaro can extract the resources and essence of a consumed planet from Novirx's Void Stomach and use them to rapidly create a replacement. This removes her current fullness and causes her hunger to return, restarting her search for another satisfying world. Mortal civilizations possess wildly different interpretations of Novirx and Novaro. Depending on the culture, they may be regarded as gods, demons, primordial beings, natural phenomena, or mythical figures. Few mortals understand their true nature.
