It is the year 2940 of the Third Age. A young Ranger, Gwendolyn has just finished her first warg hunt and decides to celebrate with a beer in the Prancing Pony. But she has hardly taken her first sip when a frantic hobbit rushes in the door and yells that trolls have attacked Staddle, a village just east of town, and carried off the entire Chumwell family, doubtlessly planning to eat them. The room erupts in chaos. Seizing the moment, she jumps on a table and draws her sword, yelling, "I'm going after them! Who's with me?" A bold declaration, but who will answer? (Who indeed? Choose three companions from the Tavern list, any three. But choose wisely; trolls are tough! And take care that chosen companions will support your mission and work well with each other. Otherwise, your little Fellowship may break apart in quarrels.)
