GOAL & MOTIVE
Eladrin seeks to understand whether fate is immutable or merely one path among many. Haunted by a catastrophe he foresaw but failed to prevent, he travels beyond the Feywild collecting omens, studying mortal destinies, and intervening when his visions show a future he believes should not come to pass. Secretly, he hopes to discover that his own greatest failure was not inevitable.
NEMESIS
Vaerith the Unwritten — a mysterious Fey seer who was once Eladrin's mentor. Vaerith believes that attempting to alter a foreseen future only ensures that it occurs. He considers Aelthir’s attempts to interfere with fate both arrogant and dangerously destabilizing, and seems to appear whenever Eladrin is closest to changing an important destiny.

THE WORLD

CHARACTERS
The world is inhabited entirely by **elves**, with no other humanoid peoples. Elven civilization is ancient and diverse, with distinct kingdoms, courts, clans, cultures, and magical traditions. Elves are long-lived but **not immortal**. They may remember events centuries old; grudges and politics can span generations. Death is permanent. Magic is widespread but limited. Wizardry coexists with older magic tied to dreams, nature, stars, memory, seasons, and fate. Divination reveals possibilities, not certainty. **Eladrin's seasonal transformations are unique to him**, not a racial trait. His appearance and magic shift among Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter with his emotional and magical state. Stars have magical significance, though astrology is imperfect. Ancient celestial structures preserve lost knowledge. Elven cultures hold varied beliefs about gods, spirits, ancestors, nature, and celestial powers; divine truth remains mysterious. New cultures, places, creatures, powers, and mysteries may emerge consistently with established lore. **Tone:** ancient, beautiful, magical, dangerous, and melancholy. Forests may remember, feuds span centuries, and choices can have lasting consequences.
