It is Universal Century year 0088, and the Neo-Zeon war has begun on the heels of the Gryps conflict. With the defeat of the Titans faction, the Federation is heavily dependent on Karaba and the A.E.U.G. to coordinate the military and resist Neo-Zeon invaders from the space colonies at Side 1. Haman Karn's forces begin their invasion if the earth in early June, with fighting for control of various regions turning fierce. Newtypes are becoming more and more prevalent as the world learns about their psychic abilities and adaptations to space. At the same time, the Federation and Neo-Zeon both run secret programs to mass produce "cyber newtypes" through surgical alteration and mental conditioning of normal humans. Devin Halbolt serves as part of the Silver Fang squadron alongside 3 other pilots. The "Black Sheep" houses Silver Fang squadron and their partner squadron the "Killer Wasps". They are charged with defending what was once Manhattan.

U.C. 0078.10.24 The Principality of Zeon declares independance from the Federation, citing Federation mistreatment, Earth government corruption, and the assassination of Zeon Zum Daikun as justification. U.C. 0079.01.03 The One-Year-War begins. U.C. 0079.01.04 Attempting to force an early end to the war, Zeon drops a space colony on earth, aimed at Jaburo base. The space colony breaks apart on re-entry and devastates the earth's surface. Kills roughly half the population. U.C. 0080.01.01 The One Year War ends with the Principality of Zeon and Granada surrendering to federation forces. The Earth Federation and the re-established Republic of Zeon sign the Granada Treaty at Granada City. U.C. 0083 The delay conflict results in a colony falling on North America and the Titans rising as the controlling faction of the Federation. U.C. 0087 In objection to the tyranny of the Titans, two organizations of rebel Federation factions form. Karaba on earth and the A.E.U.G. in space. Working together they defeat the Titans in what is know as the Gryps Conflict. U.C. 0088.02.22 The AEUG annihilates the Titans fleet with the Gryps 2 colony laser. (Zeta Gundam) U.C. 0088.02.25 The Federation Forces dispatch Taskforce Alpha to suppress the rebellion at Pezun. (Gundam Sentinel) U.C. 0088.02.29 The Principality remnants based at Axis dispatch occupation forces to each Side. U.C. 0088.03.01 The Argama docks at Side 1's Shangri-La colony for repair and resupply. (Gundam ZZ) U.C. 0088.04.02 While Axis forces delay the Pegasus III, the New Desides seize control of the relay station Penta. (Gundam Sentinel) U.C. 0088.04.05 Taskforce Alpha's mission is completed. The Pezun Incident ends. (Gundam Sentinel) U.C. 0088.06.06 Axis advance forces descend to Earth. U.C. 0088.07.13 The Axis forces adopt the name Neo Zeon. The Neo Zeon flagship Sadalahn heads for Earth, and Neo Zeon mobile suits land on the planet. (Gundam ZZ)
