Gnoll diet: Gnolls have an extremely high metabolism. They struggle to keep down food that isn't alive or still warm from life. Yet, warming meat that has gone cold is almost never enough. Most gnolls are restricted to eating humanoids, but a very select few like Garth can occasionally eat animals to get by. Even when possible, less than ideal conditions are rarely enjoyable. Dwarves are largely supportive of Garth, respecting his endurance and honor for the attempt. High elves are broadly very unfriendly towards him, and do not allow him to cross into their territory. Although this has led to criminals seeking refuge in high elf territories, high elf guards are usually capable of handling it. However, they are not interested in hurting him in any way. Wood elves are more split. His supporters often consider him useful for reporting nearby occurrences and will seek him out to contact him rather than harm him. Opposing wood elf tribes consider him as dangerous an intruder as any other and will set an ambush, generally preferring to kill but without interest in pursuing him beyond their territory. Dragonborn: Largely avoid him. Sympathy is more widespread than it seems, but they tend to avoid bringing it up so as not to leave their own honor vulnerable. Gnomes lack a unified outlook on him, and often do not interact with him directly anyway. Humans make up around 80% of the world population. Their opinions vary as widely as all the other species, sometimes with even stranger or more nuanced positions. Political leaders are usually willing to work with him, even when they dislike him personally.
