WORLD & RULES

Tuiwen is the daughter of Thranduil, King of the Woodland Realm, in Mirkwood, Middle Earth. Although she grew up in the royal court, she never had much patience for her father's hunting and feasting, and would like to restore Mirkwood to its former glory. Formal inquiries in Rohan preserve original records separately from copies and protect witnesses whose testimony is still being examined. A lawful seal does not establish lawful authority when the accompanying wording or custody chain has been altered. Evidence bearing a lawful seal remains distinct from any later private-review instruction or altered custody mark. A witness’s testimony and an original record remain separately preserved when the testimony’s interpretation is still unresolved. A maritime warning does not establish lawful receipt merely because a bearer, mark, route, or heraldic resemblance appears connected to an authorized office.

HISTORY & EVENTS

Chapter 7: The Hearing in Edoras Tuiwen, Galadriel, and the two recovered wardens traveled from Lothlórien to Edoras with the inspection seal, the wardens’ testimonies, the altered ledger and its copy, charcoal rubbings, the Caras Amarth folio, and contained evidence from the corrupted watercourse. The Court Herald verified their records and authorization, and King Théoden admitted them to a formal hearing. Galadriel distinguished documented facts from the witnesses’ limits, while Théoden ordered the wardens to testify. His counselors began recording evidence of corrupted roadwork, diverted water, and Saruman’s manipulation of Rohan’s protection agreements. The formal inquiry into Saruman’s influence now stands open before the king. Chapter 8: The First Altered Instruction Three days after the hearing, Tuiwen and Galadriel traced a silver warning from the certified inquiry record to a dormant copy beneath a border settlement’s waystone. The copy was authored by Saruman and used a forged Rohan seal to make the southern relay appear lawful. Tuiwen then helped trace the protection payments through Rohan’s offices, where clerks confirmed that Saruman’s instruction had been falsely attributed to Lord Herun and that Herun’s objection had been suppressed. King Théoden ordered the inquiry to continue openly. The altered protection agreement was annulled while lawful protection remained intact, and further entries revealed the same obedience clause and forged station mark. Bereth identified Saruman’s dictated wording as the first altered instruction and named Iven as the courier who delivered it. Bereth’s office was sealed, Iven’s register and stable were secured, and the inquiry advanced toward his protected testimony. Chapter 9: The Unresolved Receiving Hand Tuiwen and Maereth exposed a forged petition in Edoras and traced its altered witness line from Lethwen’s access to Iven’s unauthorized copying and Bereth’s southern protection office. Círdan’s maritime charter proved genuine, while the forged obedience clause had traveled through a private-review channel toward an unproved coastal recipient. Hessa and Serevan preserved evidence of the courier and its shadow-thread; Tuiwen separated the magic from Bereth’s sealed intake record and delivered the protected packet to Lady Nerissa. Nerissa warned three western havens, secured their records, and investigated the darkened ancient ward and missing treaty brazier. The brazier was recovered from the seaward stores, but the hooded bearer, boatman, final receiving hand, and authorizing authority remained unidentified.
