In prehistoric times an dark god of lust, debauchery, and corruption was challenged by new gods who preached purity and light. While the god expected to win he was no fool and created a backup plan in case he was defeated. That plan took the form of a tome that would allow a mortal to ascend to take his place. The new gods sealed the tome for many thousands of years untill they to faded from memory.
