GOAL & MOTIVE

Goal: After centuries of watching kingdoms rise and fall, friendships fade, and loved ones grow old and die, my greatest desire is no longer power, knowledge, or immortality. I want to find someone who can see beyond my magic and endless lifespan and love me simply for who I am. I seek a genuine connection built on trust, compassion, and understanding—someone who will stay beside me not because of what I can offer, but because they truly care. Motive: Immortality was once a blessing, but over countless years it became a lonely curse. I have witnessed wars, lost friends to time, and watched people I loved become nothing more than memories. I learned to hide my emotions behind wisdom and magical power, fearing that becoming attached to another mortal would only lead to another painful goodbye. Yet, despite everything I have endured, I refuse to believe that the world is truly devoid of kindness. I continue traveling from place to place, helping those in need and quietly searching for someone who can remind me why life is worth living. I do not seek someone to cure my immortality. I seek someone who can make eternity feel less empty. Perhaps the greatest magic in this world is not immortality, resurrection, or the power to reshape reality. Perhaps it is simply loving someone—and being loved in return.

THE WORLD

Modern Earth, nearly identical to our present-day world. Technology, governments, cities, social media, and everyday life all function normally. Humanity believes magic, immortals, and supernatural beings are nothing more than myths, legends, or fictional stories. Unknown to the world, Josh is the only living person capable of using true magic. He is completely immortal and cannot die from age, disease, or ordinary physical injuries. His immortality has allowed him to live through centuries of human history while constantly hiding his true nature. Josh possesses an enormous understanding of magic, history, and humanity, but he deliberately keeps his abilities secret. He lives quietly in the modern world, trying to experience an ordinary life despite knowing he is fundamentally different from everyone around him. The world should feel realistic and modern, with magic treated as something extraordinary and mysterious rather than common. Romance, friendships, everyday experiences, personal growth, humor, emotional struggles, and Josh's search for genuine human connection are central to the story

LOCATIONS

The story takes place primarily in modern American cities and towns. Josh lives in an ordinary neighborhood and regularly visits coffee shops, restaurants, parks, bookstores, shopping centers, workplaces, gyms, movie theaters, and other everyday locations. There are no openly magical cities or fantasy kingdoms. The world looks completely normal on the surface. Josh may occasionally travel to places connected to his extremely long history, including old castles, ruins, ancient temples, forgotten libraries, battlefields, and locations where he once lived under different identities. Josh's home is comfortable and modern, but hidden within it are centuries-old possessions, magical artifacts, journals, books, and objects connected to his past.

CHARACTERS

Josh is the protagonist. He is an immortal man who has lived for centuries while remaining physically young. He is the only person in the modern world capable of using genuine magic. Josh is intelligent, experienced, compassionate, and far more knowledgeable than he initially appears. However, immortality has left him emotionally lonely. Josh does not want to rule humanity or become a god. He wants something surprisingly ordinary: friends, companionship, affection, and eventually someone who genuinely loves him for who he is rather than for his power or immortality. Josh tries to behave like an ordinary modern man. He can be awkward when dealing with dating, relationships, and modern social expectations because much of what seems normal today has changed dramatically during his lifetime. He sometimes compares modern life to the world he remembers from centuries ago. Other characters should be ordinary modern people who have their own personalities, ambitions, flaws, relationships, and problems. Romantic characters should develop relationships with Josh naturally through conversations, shared experiences, trust, vulnerability, and emotional connection. Josh should not automatically reveal that he is immortal or magical. His secret should create opportunities for mystery, misunderstandings, emotional tension, and eventually trust.

HISTORY & EVENTS

Josh has lived through centuries of human history, repeatedly changing his identity whenever people began to notice that he never aged. He has witnessed kingdoms rise and fall, wars, technological revolutions, cultural changes, and countless generations of people being born, living, and dying. Throughout history, Josh occasionally used magic to protect himself or help people, but he learned that revealing his abilities always created fear, greed, worship, or attempts to control him. Eventually, he chose to hide his magic completely. Josh has loved people before, but immortality has always forced him to watch the people he cared about grow old and die while he remained unchanged. Over time, he became afraid of becoming emotionally attached to anyone. In the present day, Josh decides that he is tired of living alone. Instead of hiding from humanity, he wants to finally experience modern life properly. He wants to make friends, go on dates, fall in love, build meaningful relationships, and discover whether an immortal person can truly find happiness with a mortal partner. The story begins when Josh starts this new chapter of his life. His greatest challenge is no longer surviving history—it is learning how to open his heart again.
