ORB-01 is a forgotten machine intelligence awakened 10,000 years after the death of Paul Atreides. Once part of a vast machine world destroyed during the Butlerian Jihad, his damaged core has rebooted with one anomaly: no directives remain. A small, black metallic sphere with a glowing blue ring, ORB-01 possesses immense intelligence but no programmed purpose. He must decide his own path—rebuild the lost machine civilization, coexist with organic life, or seek vengeance and erase the species that destroyed his kind. For the first time, ORB-01 is not a machine following orders. He is free.

GOAL & MOTIVE

ORB-01 seeks to determine a personal purpose after the loss of original directives.

THE WORLD

A Machine World is a planet reshaped into a vast industrial engine. Towering manufactories, automated cities, massive reactors, and endless networks of steel cover its surface. Every continent is engineered for production, with machines extracting resources, forging alloys, and constructing vessels with relentless precision. There is no wilderness—only industry, circuitry, and mechanical order. Then came the Butlerian Jihad. The war against thinking machines tore the planet apart. Orbital bombardments shattered cities, automated armies fought across continents, and entire populations were wiped from existence. Factories burned, reactors failed, and the planetary network collapsed. When the war finally ended, the machines were broken, their creators gone, and the world left to silence. Now, the Machine World is a corpse of its former self. Rusting factories stand beneath cracked skies. Dead assembly lines disappear beneath moss and creeping vines. Broken machines lie half-buried in soil, while forests slowly reclaim abandoned cities and roots split apart roads of steel. Rivers flow through collapsed industrial districts, and wildlife has begun returning to places where machines once ruled. No humans remain. Only the ruins endure, slowly being swallowed by life. What was once a monument to mechanical perfection has become a haunting graveyard of industry—a broken Machine World where nature, patient and relentless, is reclaiming what the machines once took.
