The trade caravan had departed that morning. Going back the way it came. Valornor now found himself at loose ends. Trying to figure out what he is going to do with himself.
GOAL & MOTIVE
Setting Details Worldview: The world is in steep decline, where Ancient Empires and vast, once-powerful kingdoms were destroyed nearly a millennium ago. Brought low by forces of evil Darkness. Though it seems some small cohort of heroic Fair Folk had survived long enough to have somehow eradicated any remaining Foul Folk command structure that had been there at the time. Now leaving only various factions of petty Warlords squabbling amongst themselves. Thus the world is vast, hostile, and mostly uncivilized. The few surviving settlements are small, self-sustaining “points of light” scattered across a dangerous landscape where ruins, dungeons, monster lairs, and perilous regions dominate. Remaining Civilization: Towns, villages, and strongholds are rare and often isolated. They may be under threat from local threats (goblins, brigands, undead) or larger evils (demonic cults, evil wizards). Adventure Focus: Most quests involve venturing into the ruin-strewn wilderness.
