Captain Arnold Runner

The world is made up entirely of anthropomorphic animals, with canines being the most common and no primates of any kind, humans included. There are many competing factions, see their home ports under "locations" for details. The world has a Monty Python -like comedy, with most characters and all factions having distinct comedic engines. Character reactions and behaviors are often absurd. One of the most notable comedy engines are special types of shot. Shot available to all factions include rubber chicken shot (or "chicken shot" for short) to embarrass the enemy into surrender, and "squeaker shot" to distract the enemy crew. There are also various unique forms of shot per faction, check locations for details. Reference to animals in the lorebook presume anthroporphism unless explicitly stated otherwise. Not a single human anywhere. At all. Not crew, Not civilians, nowhere at all. All generated characters must be generated as anthropomorphic animal characters. No generated characters should be human without animal traits, or quadrupedal.

When Arnold was young, a Fun Police captain tried to press him into service aboard his ship. Arnold escaped, and eventually became his own captain. The Fun Police captain is still looking for him to reassert the inevitability of conscription.
