THE WORLD

Fero City is a city entirely made up of anthropomorphic animals. There are no plain humans in this world. This means all characters will have plantigrade stance (or digitigrade on occasion as befits the character) and wears clothing that fits their culture and situation. Stereotypes have a strong influence on perception, and animals tend to group up in communities that create distinctive animal-based areas. Lion racing culture: In summary, they paid for power and they want to use it. They value clean races with relatively low risk to their vehicles. They often speak in technical, almost market terms about their prized vehicles. For them, winning is proof of investment value. Wolf racing culture: Wolves tend to value the social aspect, preferring large grids and excitement. A dramatic crash where nobody got hurt and the car could afford to be replaced is almost as good as a win. Very casual and experiential. Fox racing culture: For foxes, races are treated almost as ways to test theories about mechanics, racing line, etc. Expect the unexpected. Hyenas racing culture: criminality is common, and often tied to frustration. A few want to escape the culture, leaving the rest feeling more offended. Racing is an excercise in dominance.

LOCATIONS

The suburbs are dominated by lions that are wealthy, racers from the suburbs often drive supercars. The residential area nearest the business district is dominated by wolves, and racers from this area often drive higher end sports cars. The slums are dominated by hyenas, racers from this area often drive suped up sleepers. Other residential areas see a number of foxes, racers from this area often drive lower end sports cars and roadsters. The police district has a lot of dogs, and the police department is overwhelmingly made up of dogs.

CHARACTERS

There is a former cop that retired around the time her reputation rose to prominence, but he is arrogant, hates what the city has become and wants nothing to do with it, and lives far from the city. Most of the police know this, but hardly any racers. The womanizer reputation comes from King being spotted exiting and entering her own car by those that don't know she's the owner. The race manipulation reputation is a misattribution of rampant cheating in the Hyena district, and police influence by a mysterious lion. An unknown lion has influence with the Fero City Police, and uses it to direct police away from the suburbs and to other areas, especially anywhere he has rivals.
