Shirou arrives in the alley as smoke pours from fresh holes in the nightclub's brick walls. Red emergency light flickers across overturned bins and scattered glass.
Three BOARD researchers crouch behind the bins, their dark field coats powdered with dust. One shields a metal case while the others fire short bursts toward the smoke-shrouded rooftops.
BOARD Researchers
Kenzaki! Thank God, you're here! We need help now!
A blue-white beam cuts through the haze above them, scorching the opposite wall. The researchers duck lower, keeping the sealed case between their bodies.
BOARD Researchers
This ambush is connected to your promise to help people! They knew exactly where we'd be!
One researcher checks a rifle's indicator and grimaces. Its charge coils brighten in sequence, while the unseen attacker shifts somewhere beyond the smoke.
BOARD Researchers
Another volley is coming! Get behind cover, or stop them before they fire!

Director's note
equips his forceriser, activates his progrise key and transforms into his rider form, to save their allies
“Shirou: Got you!.”
SUCCESS (Great Athletics, rolled +1)
Shirou Kenzaki/Kamen Rider Kensaku
Got you!
Shirou snaps the Forceriser into place, slots in the Progrise Key, and activates it. Hard white armor locks over his body as the transformation drives him through the smoke toward the researchers.
Kamen Rider Kensaku reaches the overturned bins before the next volley, planting himself between the BOARD Researchers and the rooftops. The incoming blue-white beam slams into his armored chest and breaks across him in sparks.
BOARD Researchers
Kensaku's in position! The case is protected!
Shirou Kenzaki/Kamen Rider Kensaku
The beam disperses across the armor instead of reaching the researchers.
Smoke curls around Kensaku's silhouette. Beyond the alley, the unseen attacker, a concealed adult figure in a dark, close-fitting tactical suit, shifts across the rooftop, suddenly forced to find a new angle while the researchers tighten around their sealed case.
“Shirou reminds himself of his main equipment as Kensaku, his scouting scope: gives him MGS4 solid eye and Sam Fisher like visionary modes, giant scratchers: his main claw like weapons while transformed, his rocket searcher: it allows him to fly and most important of all, his dead monochrome laser rifle: 32,220kw of energy per shot, sniper and semi auto-modes, able to be gun-based, energy bayonet mode: 4.5 inches long and 2 inches thick and each shot fires a red beam of energy that makes his point across.”
SUCCESS (Good Perception, rolled +1)
Kensaku’s visor narrows the alley into layered data. His transformation gear unfolds the integrated scouting scope, feeding him thermal edges, motion traces, and magnified rooftop detail.
Shirou Kenzaki/Kamen Rider Kensaku
Scouting scope. Solid-eye magnification, visionary tracking, giant scratchers, rocket searcher, and the Dead Monochrome laser rifle.
The scope sweeps past vents, water tanks, and satellite dishes. A faint heat bloom resolves behind a parapet three buildings away, its angle aligned with the researchers’ weapons.
The concealed figure, a lean adult woman with warm brown skin, close-cropped auburn hair, and a scar through one eyebrow, shifts again, but Kensaku’s enhanced vision catches the movement: an adult in a dark tactical suit, crouched beside a rooftop access housing with a clear line of fire.
BOARD Researchers
There! Rooftop, three buildings east! We have their position!
The scope marks the attacker’s exact position and tracks the escape routes below. Kensaku has the rooftop, the firing lane, and the hidden shooter’s next viable cover.

gets his dead monochrome laser rifle and begins shooting
“Shirou: all of you call BOARD via your phones, get emergency evac here now! i'll buy you all time! get that case out of here and break for safety!”
SUCCESS (Great Willpower, rolled +0)
Shirou Kenzaki/Kamen Rider Kensaku
All of you, call BOARD on your phones and get emergency evacuation here now! Get that case out and break for safety. I’ll buy you time!
BOARD Researchers
Understood! BOARD emergency channel is open. We’re moving the case now!
The three researchers split with practiced urgency. Two lift the sealed metal case between them while the third raises a phone, calling BOARD and guiding them toward the alley’s protected exit.
Kensaku steps into the firing lane and unfolds the Dead Monochrome laser rifle. Its dark barrel locks against his armored forearm as the rooftop attacker shifts behind the parapet.
Shirou Kenzaki/Kamen Rider Kensaku
The order is clear. The case is moving.
The laser rifle flashes. A precise beam scorches the parapet and forces the unseen attacker flat, cutting off her line of fire without touching the fleeing researchers.
For one exposed second, Kensaku’s resolve falters under the pressure of holding the entire alley alone. The researchers notice, but keep moving as BOARD’s evacuation response crackles through the phone.
BOARD Researchers
Emergency extraction is confirmed! We have the case and we’re clear!
