Adventure of Ry 1

Neon rain turns the alley into broken color as an armored courier van tears through the haze, side doors yawning open. Its tires scream toward Ry.

Inside, a middle-aged woman in a dark tactical coat grips the frame, her face webbed with luminous interface lines and one optic pulsing red. The AI-augmented detective, a lean woman with close-cropped silver hair and warm brown skin, looks back once looks back once.

A police drone, a compact black quadrotor with a single red sensor eye and blue status lights, drops from the haze, rotors whining, its spotlight cutting across wet pavement. Blue warrant glyphs crawl over the brick walls.
