Blue grass fades behind the group as Jasper, Lizzy, Jessie, Bubbles, and Jane cross into the dry waste land. Dead stalks rasp beneath their feet, and the forest’s glow thins behind them.
Jasper, his angular face framed by pale-blue eyes, a sleeveless navy vest, and silver wrist bands, a young adult water man with a broad build and damp blue hair, leads beside Lizzy, whose ember-orange eyes and cropped black hair stand out above her red coat and dark trousers and Jessie, whose round face, long copper braid, and red scarf break up her red travel clothes, young adult fire women in red travel clothes. Bubbles, with a narrow face, lavender skin, swept-back white hair, and a pale-gray windbreaker over black trousers, a slim young adult air femboy, and Jane, with warm brown skin, a square jaw, a moss-green tunic, and sturdy brown boots, a young adult earth woman with vine-braided hair, watch the border.
A thorn catches a torn strip of Buzzy’s oversized hoodie. The fabric is fresh, its black weave snagged at shoulder height, though no broken stalks mark the nearby ground.

Jasper
That trail continues deeper. Whatever carried the bee went into the waste land, not back toward the forest.
The claim pulls every gaze downward. Beside the thorn, a sharply outlined footprint presses into the pale dust, longer than any bee’s body and unlike the searchers’ boots.

Jane
Then the cloth was planted here, or something came through before us. Either way, someone wants us looking at this border.

Lizzy
Nobody move. Buzzy, can you tell whether that tear came from you recently?

Find the missing bee
undefined / undefined

A sudden crosswind sweeps through the dead grass. The torn hoodie strip snaps against the thorn, then drops free, revealing a second dark fiber beneath it.

Bubbles
That gust came from ahead, but the dust moved around the footprint, not through it.
The pale dust lifts in a narrow ribbon between two ridges. Beneath it, three more elongated impressions emerge, spaced unevenly toward the wasteland.

Jasper
The trail is genuine. Something heavy crossed after the ground settled, and it dragged cloth from Buzzy’s hoodie.

Jane
Then the planted-looking evidence is bait, not the whole lie. Someone wanted us to find the trail before the wind exposed it.
Far ahead, a dull metallic clack sounds twice from beyond a low rise. The impressions stop at its crest, while a faint line of crushed grass leads around the opposite side.

Lizzy
Nobody follows that sound yet. We verify the ground first, then decide whether the real trail goes over the rise or around it.
“*they all follow a different path as they mainly need to find me buzzy as they know im the bee who is the most godlike and without me the forest will die as they all go down the path seeing me under a water fall with big heavy white chains around my body and in the ground as i kneel there limp and not moving as the chains keep me in a deep sleep*”
FAILURE (Fair Perception, rolled +0)

The group separates at the ridge, each taking a different route around the crushed grass. Their paths curve through the wasteland, following scattered impressions and avoiding the metallic clack.
The routes unexpectedly meet in a shallow ravine. A broad waterfall pours over a stone shelf, its white spray hiding a dark recess beneath.
Behind the falling water, Buzzy kneels limp and unmoving. Thick white chains encircle his fluffy gray body, continue through the earth, and hold him in a deep sleep.

Jasper
There he is. The trail over the rise was bait. The real passage came around the ridge and ended here.
Lizzy steps close but stops short of the chains. Their links are clean, freshly scuffed where they enter the rock, while Buzzy's torn hoodie matches the fiber found at the border.

Jane
He is alive, but we cannot pull him free blindly. These anchors were placed after the cloth was taken, and the chain marks point beneath the waterfall.

Bubbles
I can trace the air around the anchors. There is a narrow opening behind the stone shelf, but forcing the chains may keep him asleep forever.
“*the team now trys to figure out who took me here to chain me up knowing very well without me the forest will dry up as they also have to find out how to break the cruxifux like chains*”
FAILURE (Poor Forensics, rolled +1)

Jasper studies the chain anchors while Jane examines the disturbed soil. Lizzy checks Buzzy’s breathing, and Bubbles maps the airflow around the waterfall’s hidden recess.

Jane
These marks are not from a struggle. Whoever placed him here knew exactly where the anchors would hold without crushing him.

Jasper
The chains were carried in from the ravine floor. Their white coating is dried mineral paste, not anything grown or forged in the forest.
Jasper wedges a stone beneath one cross-shaped link and strains. The anchor shifts a finger’s width, then locks tighter, dragging dust into a sharp spiral around Buzzy.

Lizzy
Stop. They tighten when pulled. This was designed to punish rescue attempts, not hold him by ordinary strength.

Bubbles
The air slips through one anchor, then vanishes beneath the shelf. There is a chamber behind it, and the lock is probably there.

Jane
We cannot break these chains from here. But the drag marks lead behind the waterfall, and the mineral paste carries the same gray dust as the false trail.
“*they break down a wall seeing stairs that lead to a big cave with big water leaks and pipes making it horror like with many dried blood*”
SUCCESS (Legendary Strength, rolled +0)

Buzzy breaks through the thin stone wall beside the waterfall. Dust bursts outward, exposing a steep stairway descending into a broad, dripping cavern.
Large pipes cross the ceiling and walls, leaking steadily into black channels below. Rust-colored stains stripe the stone, dried and old beneath the constant water.

Lizzy
That is not a natural chamber. Someone built this place, then abandoned it in a hurry.
Jasper lowers himself onto the first stair and studies the wet dust. Narrow drag marks continue downward, while the mineral paste from the chains flakes along the edges.

Jasper
The trail is genuine. The same paste was carried through here, and whatever made those marks was transporting something heavy.

Jane
The stains are old, but the fresh water keeps the chamber from telling us how old.

Bubbles
The pipes are leaking from above, not feeding the waterfall. There is airflow below the stairs, and it carries the chain’s mineral dust.

“*as they all go down they see a map as its a dark maze with 5 levels that realese each chain from me but what they dont know is that a human eating vine plant like creature is in the maze and is super strong which will be hard to fight*”
SUCCESS (Good Reasoning, rolled -1)

Jasper, Lizzy, Jessie, Bubbles, and Jane descend without Buzzy, leaving him unconscious and chained behind the waterfall. Their footsteps sink into the damp stairwell.
At the bottom, a broad metal plate fills the cavern wall. Its etched passages form a dark maze divided into five numbered levels, each marked by a chain-shaped symbol.

Jasper
Five levels, five releases. The route starts here and descends toward the anchors holding Buzzy.

Jane
These lines are instructions, not a survey. Someone designed this maze to make rescuers work through every lock.
Bubbles wipes condensation from the plate, revealing small arrows beneath the grime. A loose pipe suddenly drops a metal cap, and the sharp clang rolls through every passage.

Bubbles
The air moves through the maze. Something large has disturbed it recently, but I cannot tell where it went.

Lizzy
Then we have the map, and a warning. Keep quiet. Whatever lives down there may already know we arrived.

“*the group all split up to find the lever as some of them have encounter the monster but ran and escaped it since the monster power level is to high for them to beat as they almost got each lever done*”
FAILURE (Fair Perception, rolled +0)

The group divides at the numbered plate. Jasper takes the left passage, Lizzy and Jessie take the center, while Bubbles and Jane follow the rightward airflow toward separate chain-marked corridors.
Each passage contains a recessed lever beside a level symbol. One by one, the mechanisms click as the searchers reach them, but the sound carries through the pipes.

Jasper
I found level two. The lever is jammed halfway, and something is moving behind the wall.
A heavy shape surges through the darkness beyond Jasper’s passage. He retreats fast, abandoning the lever as metal shrieks and dust pours from the ceiling.

Lizzy
Run. We are not strong enough to fight it here.
Lizzy and Jessie flee from the center corridor as the unseen creature strikes the pipes behind them. Bubbles and Jane escape another passage, carrying the positions of two nearly engaged levers.

Jane
The locks are almost released, but the creature has driven us back. We cannot search separately again without giving it every corridor.
“*suddenly the monster charges at them when they all get into a group again but when the monster is about to attack they look up seeing me fly above the monster but im fully cyan ghost like as they see its my 4th bee like form spirit that is inside me as my bee spirit form rips goes into the monster making it go back into the maze as they see me float back to them as i wave with tears before fadind slowly as they realize if my spirit is here they only have some time left to free me before the chains drain my soul out*”
SUCCESS (Superb Willpower, rolled +2)

The group compresses into the junction just as the monster charges from the level-two passage. Its bulk fills the corridor, scattering dust and loose pipe fragments.
Before it can strike, a fully cyan figure floats above its back. Buzzy’s fourth-form spirit has elongated limbs, wide horns, and dark eyes leaking violet light.
The spirit drops soundlessly, its translucent body tearing into the charging creature. Cyan light floods the maze, and the monster recoils, then retreats hard into the darkness.

Lizzy
It is driving the thing back. Hold your ground!
The spirit rises from the maze and floats toward them. Buzzy lifts one hand in a small wave, tears shining across his fading face before his form thins.

Jane
That was not a reflection. His spirit is outside the chains, and they are draining what remains of him.

Jasper
Then we release every lock now. Bubbles, Jane, take the nearest levers. Lizzy, Jessie, with me, level two first.
“*they all pull each lever as the lever around my body from above breaks as i fall onto the ground limp as they all rush back outside to me with nervous fear as lizzy taps me and makes sure im alive still as they see im alive but in a very deep sleep from the damaged as the chains have damaged my power level by 25%*”
SUCCESS (Legendary Strength, rolled +0)

The group pulls the numbered levers together. Locks release in sequence, and every white chain around Buzzy snaps open with a ringing crash.
The overhead lever tears free as the final anchor disengages. Buzzy drops onto the cavern floor, limp and silent, while cyan light collapses into his body.

Jasper
All locks are released. Get him outside, now!
They rush up the stairway and through the waterfall, carrying no chains behind them. Buzzy remains deeply asleep on the dry ground beyond the ravine.

Lizzy
Buzzy? Stay with us.
Lizzy taps his shoulder carefully, then checks his breathing. His chest rises steadily, though his aura is visibly dimmer than before.

Jane
He is alive, but the chains damaged his power. I estimate he has lost twenty-five percent.

“*they carry me gently as they search for a river area called the river of wishes which has pink water that can heal back creatures exp or powers*”
SUCCESS (Fair Perception, rolled +0)

Jasper and Jane lift Buzzy carefully between them while Lizzy and Jessie clear the path. Bubbles follows the dampest wind, keeping every step gentle over the dead grass.

Jasper
Easy. His breathing is steady, but we cannot afford another shock to his weakened aura.
They follow a shallow streambed through the wasteland. The route bends around a collapsed pipe, and Jasper’s boot strikes the metal, sending a harsh clang across the ravine.

Bubbles
There. I hear moving water beneath the stone, and it smells faintly sweet. The river is close.
Beyond a curtain of dry reeds, the River of Wishes spreads through a narrow basin. Its pink water glows softly, and pale ripples gather around the shore.

Jane
We found it. The old stories said this water restores what was drained, including a creature’s power.
They lower Buzzy beside the river and ease his limp body into the shallow pink water. The cost is immediate: the metallic clang draws distant movement through the wasteland, while his dim aura begins to brighten.
