The Tavern Is Open: Recruit Player-Made Heroes, or Get Paid to List Your Own
LiveTale's new Tavern is a place where players share their original characters. Browse heroes made by the community, recruit any of them free - portrait, character sheet, and lore book included - or list your own hero and get back every Page you spent creating them.
Every hero in LiveTale is someone's original character: a face they designed, a sheet they tuned, a world they wrote lore for. Until today, all of that stayed on one account. The Tavern changes that. It's a shared common room where you can list your heroes for other players to discover, and recruit OCs made by the best character creators in LiveTale - complete and ready to play.

Step inside: the Tavern Recruitment tab
You'll find the Tavern right next to your heroes: a new Tavern Recruitment tab beside My Heroes. Inside, heroes are organized by genre - pick Fantasy, Cyberpunk, or wherever you like to play, and browse what the community has created.
These aren't bare character sheets. Most listed heroes come with a full Lore Book: the world they live in, the characters who share it (portraits included), the places, the history. When you find one you like, open their sheet and read everything before you decide.
And recruiting is free. One click gives you your own complete copy - portrait, skills, inventory, lore and all - yours to play and yours to edit. The original stays in the Tavern, untouched.

Listing your own hero takes one click
If you've built a hero you're proud of, the Tavern wants them. Open the character sheet and click List in Tavern. Pick the name they'll go by, choose how you want to be credited - as your Google profile or as one of your own heroes - and submit.
Every submission is reviewed by the Tavern Keeper before it goes live, so the shelves stay stocked with heroes worth recruiting. Once approved, your hero appears in their genre's roster for every player to find.

The Tavern Keeper pays for accepted heroes
Creating a great hero costs Pages: the character generation, the portrait (and every retry until it was right), the portraits you pinned for the characters in your Lore Book. When your hero is accepted into the Tavern, the Tavern Keeper pays you back every one of those Pages.

And it doesn't end at the first listing. Keep improving your hero - a better portrait, new lore characters, a richer world - and update your listing whenever you're ready. Each approved update pays you back what you spent on the improvements since the last one.

Watch your hero make a name for themselves
Once your hero is live, their character sheet starts keeping score. A small Tavern status block on the sheet shows how many players have viewed your listing and how many have recruited your hero into their own tales. Every recruit means someone out there is playing an adventure with a character you created - and the counter is right where you'll see it every time you visit your hero.

Built for the creators among you
Some of you have been building multi-hero universes, hand-writing lore books, and polishing portraits for months, with no way to share any of it inside the game. The Tavern is for you. Your heroes finally have somewhere to go, other players finally get to meet them, and the Pages you invested come back when your work is good enough for the shelf.
So step in. Browse the roster, recruit someone unexpected, and when you're ready, put your own hero on the wall. The Tavern Keeper is waiting.
