Location: The Neon Pit
The Neon Pit vibrates with the bass of industrial synths. Sweat, ozone, and cheap synthetic ale hang in the humid air. Jade Blue hunkers in the shadows of the upper rafters, her blaster pistol cold against her palm. Below, the fighting ring is a blood-spattered cage of jagged chrome.
Jax: “(This contact is late. If they try to burn me, I will paint the walls with their neural processors.) A man in a matte black tactical suit steps into the ring. He is a corporate hound, a hunter for the Syndicate, scanning the crowd with a glowing ocular implant. He spots a locker in the back corner and begins to move toward it, his hand resting on a heavy shock baton.”
Jade Blue (thinks): The hound is heading for the locker my sister was last seen near. If he finds what is inside, I lose the only lead I have left.
Jax: “You there, in the rafters. Drop the weapon and step into the light, or I will ensure your next breath is your last.”
